Removing mesh stain (Use bleach?)

I searched around and couldn't find any info. Is it possible to remove mesh stains caused by blood/fire/explosions? (Just for a certain area.) One possibility I was thinking (though haven't tried it yet) is having a model animation. The first frame would be no model at all (Ok, really a model with n...

Did I read this right? Or did you mean it works with Windows XP (or some variant) and not Vista (or another variant)

Yes, Graydon is right. Sorry to not be more informative. I don't want anyone thinking this will be the killer app to end all Myth apps. (In other words, no promises.)

Sorry Floyd, this isn't for texturing. This is for actual 3d geometry stuff ala Maya, Cinema 4D, etc.

Actually, you are fairly close: I do need experienced model makers but they will be beta testers as well.

Beta Testers needed (model makers)

Hello everyone, I am in need of a few beta testers for something. I need people who have 3D modeling experience. Not pre-rendered units - actual 3D modeling (buildings and such). If you've wanted to get in on the Apathy action, now's your chance. Mac and PC users wanted. And you need access to a 3D ...

Well then make one! In the same folder as the Myth app, make a folder named "plugins" (without quotes of course). Put the Fallen Levels in there.

It's a nice idea, but it wont happen, so stop thinking about it. Who's going to code that stuff guys? It wont be me, it wont be you, and by the rate that those screens have been up for, it wont be Melekor either. Myth rocks, go play it and have fun. <taunt> Ooooooh! Burn! Did ya hear that Melekor??...

No, the M3 system just uses higher-resolution colour maps stored as JPEG images. Melekor's approach (although used in some other games), has not been used in the Myth series before. Well, I guess what I meant was M3 uses texture "stacks" to make a richer texture (instead of a flat color)....

Nope. It's not me. It's Melekor that's been looking into detailed textures. See here. This system is pretty much what is used in Myth 3. (Though I could be wrong.) I do agree with you about light and shadows being better in TFL. Check out the shadow maps in Homecoming (the one where you get the Code...

Surprised and Happy

Just a quick note: I was a little surprised and very happy to learn that all my login/messages/etc from the PM message boards also work for the Tain's boards. the thought of having to remember/manage another login/pass did not make me smile. (And yes, I'm sure someone will point out that I could hav...

I'm even being incredibly conservative there. With even that simple increase, I'm sure a whole new potential could be realized. The same goes for updating the Myth resolution interface. 640x480? There are people willing to volunteer their time to do this. I totally agree. There's waaay too big of a...

Horus has the right idea going there: let Myth crash then check the Myth.log (if it crashes in Loathing or Myth, the problem should be recorded in the log). There could be several reasons why it is crashing and your best tool to figure it out is the myth log. If you look in the log and can't figure ...

Vista ripoff

And now for something completely different... I was visiting NewTek's site (makers of the 3d program Lightwave) and they have a hardware/software suite generically named VT4. What's interesting is the logo they're using. It looks, well, it looks suspiciously similar to VistaCartel's logo. Proof: VT4...
