Re: Free Bungie game on ipad
It's not a Bungie game, just to clarify. This is a game produced by a company that Bungie is giving support to; PR support, bug testing support etc, but not coding/creating support.

Re: Need some help with water issue
You're absolutely correct about zoom height, currently at least. The devs are looking into a mapmaking feature for 1.8 where one may be able to 'set' the 'max zoom height' to something greater than the current internal bounding. But at present, you've nailed the workaround- lower the entire mesh by ...

Re: Need some help with water issue
Once you force-set the 'media height' to something lower than the displacement height, it wont automatically fix the displacement height... resulting in that kind of wacky (but if used correctly/creatively, useful) 'air walking' effect. Once you've adjusted media height to -3, you need to go over it...

Uhhh, probably to irrigate the crops? The inconvenience for Phelot is a side effect.

Re: Mac OS X Lion dual monitor mouse pan not working
You could also take a few sessions of the tutorial and just try to bake the keyboard controls into your head. I havent used the mouse for panning in literally 7 years now. It's so much slower than using the key commands. I pretty much exclusively use WSAD... with the occasional Q or E for orbit, and...

Re: Halo Combat Evolved 10th Anniversary Remake
You've obviously missed the point of the remake. It's being remade FOR the campaign. Multi is an extra, and be glad there's any of it at all. The fact that the 6 maps will be downloadable content for Reach if you don't buy HCEA is pretty awesome if you ask me.

Re: artifacts and objects
I'm suspecting it's more like 'unit gets into tank, becomes tank' 'unit gets out of tank, comes soldier'. Just a hunch..

Re: More diversification in combat units or non-combatants
If you look into the plugin "Homeland" and "Homeland II" by Creation you'll find some "northmen" units that look very similiar to that warrior in the picture. They're not horse riders, but sort of norse/viking looking warriors. Some other enemy units in those plugins ar...

There was an old plugin floating around called Shade of Grey, and it had a keep level. Carchaen is that keep.

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions
IMO, "easier to read" is an advantage over someone with a tiny monitor who can't take the luxury of viewing it big and easily. You can see he's approaching in a formation without having to actually view his units, and can immediately counter that formation before he arrives. He might see y...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions
Historically though, myth's overhead map has always been roughly 1/10th the size of the colourmap... that is to say, it's made intentionally small. Some may disagree here, and maybe it's already an issue with the resizing thing (I simply don't use resized overheads at all, my monitor has never been ...

Ok fair enough, misunderstood, and I agree this request would be kind of useful actually. Though loathing not crashing or hanging indefinitely is nice too.

Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser
Ren, clearly you don't quite understand how a shadow map is set up. It's a layered piece. You can't import export 'basic lighting', ' mesh shading', and 'model shading' seperately..... they're all generated seperately in loathing, but they're 'stacked' in layers and then flattened into what is expor...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions
Don't get me wrong, I've played mutli before. And in your scenario, my system of presets would totally work out fine for you. Mixed group of units and you want to get your archs and warrs to attack "cmd 2 click. cmd 1 click." done in 2 clicks... hardly a clickfest for that
