Re: 1v1 Mapmaking Challenge: Zak vs Olong2

If you're holding a tournement you have to list some rules that both sides are playing by. If it's a true 1v1 that kind of means you cant have any of your 'team' helping you. And I hardly call what Olong has done 'harrassment' or 'stalking' or whatever other nonsense you call it. I call what he's do...

Re: Calling on all unbiased reviewers

If Krok is any example, Olong isn't pushing any lines anywhere. Again, as VR stated, every person willing to take the time to rate a plugin is doing it on their own criteria list. Olong's criteria obviously requires the mapmaker producing the plugin to be modest and respectful about the properties t...

Re: Why am I still getting banned?

Rregardless of whether or not your highseated ass has ever heard of me before or not, I've got 1500 fucking posts here mate, I'm here a lot and have been since the start. You have not, and the day you did show up, this place got less peaceful. So you're complaining about Magma being supporters of VR...

Re: Why am I still getting banned?

The more posts you make Krok, the more you look like an immature little bitch. Seriously, go wholeheartedly review everything you've written in this thread, and come back and tell me it doesnt sound like a 6 year old who isnt getting his favourite toy. You had a good run on myth. You fucked up hard....

Re: TSG Vets

I doubt there's anything special going on. TSG was created on v1.3 of Myth 2, and at that time 'custom vetting limits' didn't exist. So almost certainly all units still cap out at the default 5 kills. There can be randomizing factors for attacks (rate of fire, recovery time etc) that could indeed ma...

Re: port forwarding / hosting problems

Typically there is always a router and a modem involved in an internet connection. If you say your ISP only gave you a modem, are you certain this isnt a 2-in-1 device that modems and routes your net at the same time? My previous ISP provided me with such a device. As another mac user who's hosted o...

Why make a meaningless post even bringing his name up, for the sake of replying to a thread that looks like it died June last year? Just sayin.

Re: Real World Distance to Myth Distance Conversion

Aye, a colourmapper's general rule of thumb is to set up their PS grid at 8x8 pix to match the loathing grid. Very useful when making reflection maps.

Re: Real World Distance to Myth Distance Conversion

Aye the calculation of submesh was based on 8pix per WU, and 1yard/meter per WU. Though if you start doing the maths, that scale most certainly does seem off. It would make Trow something like 200x300 meters in dimension.... which seems awfully small for what it is no? Ah well, let's not think into ...

Re: Twice Born Glitch (Fix for 1.8)

Lots of people would probably complain about how 'omfg magma changed my myth game wtf' if that level were to be rescripted (again). I can at least answer the question about Alric having 1 level survived but no kills: The final cutscene on twice born actually swaps monsters from an Alric with Balmung...

Re: Adaptive AI

I don't think you're able to write custom AI scripts like the wight (or deer for that matter) uses. If one could it would open up endless possibilities. The largest drawback is that for these unique AI scripts to work (I've got some fetch that will zap your warlock fireballs for example) you need to...

Or, for those in the rest of the world, a submesh is 32m^2. :P
