You're all missing Ludde's point with the PM thing. When you're on a team in pregame, messages to the entire team and messages to individuals (PMs) both show up with red background bars. He's asking for some way to differentiate between the two, whether it's using a blue bar for team messages or pu...

Someone on the PMnet forums also suggested changing the compatibility of the setup.exe file to Windows 98 (right click -> Properties -> Compatibility). That might involve a little less h4x0ring :p

Heh, I wasn't being that serious either. I guess I'm a bit defensive from the shit Blades and Clem tried to sling at me during those couple of months :O

! One of you instructed me to only send the 1st place prize to... one of you. I don't know if you were going to split it up or what :P I sent out two packages total - one with CD and one without. BB, it wasn't half a year, it was 2 or 3 months ;) Blades and Clem started a mudslinging campaign again...

It was the other way around, gg cryptic sentences. I'll be happy in a few days when the UPS guy delivers another stick of the Corsair stuff :)

Bah, looks like you may be right, Myrd. After getting an error in Half-Life 2 tonight (something about not being able to read a memory location), I popped one of the sticks out and played back one of the Myth films in question. Everything checks out so far, so it looks like the RAM I removed was th...

Well, it looks like my RAM checks out. I ran two passes each with Memtest 86 and the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, and both came up clean.

I'll try another install with that new CD and see what happens before I go ripping out memory modules. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I'll check that out tomorrow... I found a couple of memory-testing programs that I'm going to make bootable CDs for as well. I have noticed a few other quirks with the system (washed out MPEG video in WMP, Dreamweaver MX 04 runs like crap), but I never would have suspected a bad stick of RAM ...

I just watched a Hverg film from one of the MWC matches this weekend and went OOS, so you might be right. My PC gets through the RAM test in the bios, though, which is weird... It might be the cheap-o ULTRA memory (512 MB) I got through TigerDirect for $20 after rebate, heh. The other 512 stick I h...

That's the weird part about it - no. I played 5 or 10 games yesterday, and went OOS in the following: Hvergelmir (at least 3 times) ROTD Gyre Gimble I played in all of these without a problem, though: Lichen (final) A Shattered Visage Keep Across the River Grilling Grounds It's always that same err...
