Well, before 1.5, i was getting around 250fps normally. With 1.5 MAXED out it'll be 67.34fps... sometimes it'll get stuck @ 67.34 and won't move from this number, generally it's around 50fps....

i have:
3.2GHzEE
2 gigs of PC3200 ram
ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB graphics card

i use software mode with 1024x768.... (i dunno i've always liked the software looks better...)

anyways... i was wondering what the deal was and if there is anything i can do to change my fps so i can get more again? thanks.

Are you sure you had 250+ fps with the same settings on the same hardware with the same drivers installed on 1.4? Can you confirm this by doing a test?

i then continued to install a new driver (atleast i think it was a new driver) for my 9800 XT, and still got 67.34..... =(

if i had the old old ati driver i could attempt to recreate what i was getting, possibly if i had my hands on patch 1.4.3 i could see as well?

Ricochet, do you _actually_ experience any frame lag at all in those games though? 70 fps is fine to play in, especially since Myth 2 only EVER has anything rendering at 30 frames per second. that's the highest it goes. If your little number monitor is showing +30... i dont know what you've got to worry about. It's when you start getting dips into the lower twenties that there's actually any problem for you... right?

I get an average of 26 fps on 1.5.1, but there is many a time when I'll be playing and it will suddenly dip to 16ish and never go back up

And Myth 1.5.1 has Spyware!
