Lmoth games NOT saying "Flag captured" in SD

Ok so for the past week or so i have been playing on marius.net and i keep noticing that in Lmoth games when SD has been going for a bit, when somebody captures the flag because nobody else is within contesting range it isnt saying "Flag captured" anymore. Then all of a sudden the game ends with "Game over"

This is really a pain when the player that owns the flag has gray team colors like the contested flag does, because you cant notice the flag change to his color at all.

Is this a 1.7.1 bug? whats going on. I can see it not saying flag captured if there are too many sound channels being used for the sounds of combat, BUT it also isnt showing the text "flag captured" on the screen. I just watched the film again while writing this, and it also isnt allways saying flag contested. This is a major problem in Lmoth games. If its not a 1.7.1 bug can it be fixed just because this really screws up lmoth games? I have not tested terries or other flag based games to see if this occurs.

Ok Phex, i read all the posts that you just linked me to in that thread, only i never saw a soulotion posted. I also have a Realtek sound device. AC'97. driver 5.10.0.5750. i am on windwos Xp pro with all the latest updates for windows at least.
Though it says my drivers for the AC'97 are from 11/17/2004

I dont really see how this could BE a soundcard problem though, because the TEXT flag captured ISNT even showing up on the screen.

Build 355? Redownload 1.7.1 and install that since 355 is slightly older than the final 1.7.1. It won't matter with your issue though, I think.

Something to note Chicken, is that the TEXT is actually tied tag-wise to the SOUND... so if for some reason the SOUND is not playing, the TEXT wont either. In your case it's just a matter of figuring out why the sound isnt playing.

Yea I installed build 356. I will play some lmoth games later today and see what happens.

UPDATE!
Well I have played a bunch of Lmoth and flag games since my last post, and I have'nt seen the bug I reported in build 355 happen in build 356. So alls well that ends well? hehe!
