you mean if anyone at TakeTwo is reading this?

or were you thinking Bungie would buy the rights back from TakeTwo?

This is both pro stuff and a work of art. Amazing work, no doubt about it.

I think it's pretty good. But all he did is copy the original map guys. Some artistic license was used, but basically it's a trace of a scaled up 640x480 bungie image. Has anyone seen Gizmo's world map he made off the southwest coast of "The Myth World"?

THAT is mind blowingly good. This map is just good.

Hi

That's actually true, so thx for the compliments guys and thanks Graydon for the only criticism too ;) This actualy makes me want to make the map more detailed and put more effort into make it more "unique".
I'd like to use this map as a part of the mod's intro movie...which I have a short story in mind already. I'm thinking about making it as 2D animation(now that's a lot of work)..I can tell. .

Glad you took my comments the right way, as inspiration to keep tweaking and making it your own custom image. Don't get me wrong, the replication you've done so far is fantastically accurate. But it still looks decidedly like the original.

My other criticisms that I didn't mention are that I'm not sure I'm a fan of the clouds above the mountains (perhaps they just need more tweaking in regards to contrast/colouration etc) and also the outline colour of the buildings... I'd think they'd do better closer to black than the dark reddy orange they are now. :)

Hey Briariuss--

Just some minor spelling changes: Gover should be Gower.
Edit: Also Rhi'Annon-->Rhi'anon and The Twelve Dunes-->The Twelve Duns

Thanks for your continued work on the mod. I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi Graydon,

Is this the map Gismo made? This is indeed incredible  . Although I've got to say the graphic style is exactly the same as BUNGIE did. But this is really awesome lookin map anyway. What was this for? a plugin for Myth II?
Is this based on original lore or did he made up the whole new world himself? Congrat Gismo.

I'll try to improve my map and fix those spelling mistakes.

Cheers

P.S. I love the overlay graphic style on the ocean..those wavy circle lines are very nice.

No clue if he had plans to make a campaign there. I think he just wanted to exercise an attempt at making a world map in the TFL style. So he did. Incredibly. That said, I like your version too, the artistic touch is nice. Exaggerated colours and such, it's refreshing.

I've done some improvement. I hope you'll like it. It's in the same post.

Now I really should focus on the rest of the mod.

sooo, since 'someone' told me my name has been mentioned here, I should probably type something...

1: your map looks awesome, love the lil details, must have been an awful job to do, but the result is impressive, as gray pointed out it is still 'just' the M2 map, but I feel that, if you're willing to do so, you could easily add things to some of the unexplored parts of the map, or possibly extend it, you seem to know what you're doing.

2: my map was indeed just me going 'I wonder how hard it is to make the myth world map', but instead of duplicating the original, I decided to add a large island to the west, and go more tfl style, but with some extras, but I was happy with it when I made it, which was a while ago. Its being used for 1 of my maps, but if people would like to use it, feel free, ask Graydon to post 1 without that ugly watermark =) and you'll probably have to change some village names...

3: my map is in no way better looking or more original or whatever, gray is wrong =).

4: I don't know anything about this project (lots of pages to read), but it looks promising, keep up the good work, and if you have a project site or something, let me know...
