but its happened now. i have a 4 core machine and myth is sucking up all of one core. i left myth on overnight and the lobby was frozen when i got back, it had vv in the chat window and i was able to delete them but it took about 5 seconds for the commands to go through. annoying as hell.

Well M2 on Windows utilizes a single core unless you enable a PowerUser setting to use multicore.

the log is always blown away by the time i can find it. normally i just escape out before myth can do any real damage to the system. i'll check the log next time before closing down i guess, but my instinct reaction has always been to just get out of the program, which is supposed to blow the log away anyways right?

The log gets overwritten when you load up Myth2 again, so it is safe to close Myth and look for the log before loading it up again. For Windows users, you can go to prefs and enable the Multicore option (it is not a poweruser option). Not sure if that option will be of any use for this issue, but worth a try.

This happening on the menu is a little odd - I assume you have updated drivers, etc? And yeah the log only gets over-written on launch, so check it after you quit when it has been doing that.

and it doesnt happen on the menu, happens in the mnet lobby but stays locked up until i quit myth altogether.
