Hey guys! Gleep of FoG here. I just started playing myth again after roughly a year. I've been going to Fullsail--a school for computer animation. I was wondering what it takes to make units for myth and how they get plugged into the game. I would like to help make some that people would need for their various maps. I've never made a map or anything like it in Myth. I can do almost anything using Alias Maya though. Any points to some info regarding this would be apreciated. I would love to contribute to a community I've spent many late hours enjoying.

Hey Gleep,

There are a couple of basic tutorials on unit-making at the Myth Graveyard.

Of particular interest to you would probably be either

Khrome's Myth 3 Unit Making Tutorial

or for Myth 2

Rohan's Unit Primer

and in the
downloads section there are a couple of tutorials,

Importing Units into Myth2
Strangelets unit making tutorial

regards,

A few people at Magma could help you with importing your models and animations to Myth (you need to get Hot Line working mb), but at some point, when he's around, you should talk to Iron Duke. He has some nifty rendering techniques that really make the units look like they have a ton of detail.
