I would like to see this feature in the general release of Myth II. I think the way to go about it would be:

* The extra axis of view would only be available if specifically enabled in poweruser.txt
* It would be available in solo player but availability in "multiplayer" games would be restricted to when there is only one player in the game or possibly only to co-ops.

I could really use this view for my "A Bugs Life" Myth 2 Total Conversion.

Is it just me or is there a fundamental flaw in the basic idea of trying to lure people into playing a game by showing them doctored / photoshopped screen caps that they will never ever actually be able to see in game?

I for one, HATE finding out the pretty screen shots on the boxes aren't actually images from in-game.

hey Steel those look great!! you've done a quick learning of photoshop!!!!
mazz looks great, but maybe you need some mountains in the back before you get to the clouds in the sky...because the perpective of the scene claims for a background in the distance before the sky...

EDIT- just read your post vinyl, yep, not sure about using them for advertising, but it would be amazing if somehow it could be used as the final zoom -in game- that somehow when you reach maximum zoom it would get that angle....it would be amazing!

yea, and VR, we were talking about someday adding a skybox into myth, and haveing the special camera build downloadable to everyone. so someday they wont have to be doctored photos.

and their is nothing wrong with showing something like that off. it shows off things that are possible and gives more depth to it. so don,t be so quick to judge and rain on peoples parade. because just because you think something is stupid and or retarded doesn't mean others (especially the creator) thinks the same. so in a friendly way, watch what you say. :)

wow, I didn't want to make vinyl the bad guy of the movie...
he was just making a realistic point

but we are dreaming... even so, as the greek tagset has no scripter to finish what I started....hahaha so those stills won't ever be an in-game thing....
I officially declare scripting is a pain in the arse....!!!

hahaha
