No, you are safe. Playing his plugin won't get you banned.
It amazes me how someone with such an insignificant footprint can pass judgement on someone who's accomplished more than they ever have.Zeph wrote:wow we just lost one of the most prolific "mapmaker"................. not
I guess that's what people do when their creation's going nowhere
Actually dont feel free to use "twinda" collections - I oaked them all. Ask me if you wish to use them.ozone wrote:Feel free to use the Twinda collections.... Im sure a stand-up guy like ren wont mind. Or wait for something that may not kill your computer.gugusm wrote:Actually, I've been helping Ren script one of their maps, which was meant to be included in demo. It was pretty good I'd say. However, I never knew that Renwood "took" this stuff from Magma. And of course I'm not going to support any illegal actions, so our cooperation is over right now. That's a bit sad and pathetic at the same time.
Well, it seems that it's time to make some plug on my own, hehe
Dont hold your breath, dac. We're fine without you.dac wrote:good riddance.
On a side note, how much help is wanted with these m2 updates etc? I may be able/willing to help with certain things, but it's all foreign to me right now. If there's a 1.8 with enhancements and such and you guys could use another programmer let me know. Find me on mariusnet for more updated contact info, I'd rather not post it here and I'm pretty terrible about checking these forums
The files arent going anywhere. Why would they? The legal standpoint is just for show, considering nobody but take2 is supposed to be allowed access to the models. Its basically the culmination of a collective hate-fuck that began years ago when the project announcement got posted on the forums and everyone had a little fagdance about it. This is the (il)logical conclusion to a petty forum tiff that happened years and years ago.Anyone got the final demos of the Wind Age project and stuff seeing as it's bound to vanish from their site soon?
Not in the least. Renwood did something illegal, he sold someone else's property (not even ours). I don't care all that much that he was a nightmare to deal with and he lied to us on numerous occasions, but I do care that he scammed someone in the community. For that he is out.oogaBooga wrote:The files arent going anywhere. Why would they? The legal standpoint is just for show, considering nobody but take2 is supposed to be allowed access to the models. Possession is not illegal. Selling is. Selling is what he did. We have never ever sold anything that does not belong to us.oogaBooga wrote:I will again remind everyone that if we're discussing legality, project magma is on the same legal footing as renwood. I.E., engaging in technically illegal activity. Just in case someone starts using selective reasoning.
oh not holding my breath, just offering up precious time and precious talent. if they would let somebody like you on it then its clearly not my kinda place, but thanks for the heads up bro - good lookin out.oogaBooga wrote:Dont hold your breath, dac. We're fine without you.dac wrote:good riddance.

For the record, this is 100% incorrect. MythDev and Magma acquired the materials with T2's blessing. Magma has not and will not engage in any illegal activity.oogaBooga wrote:I will again remind everyone that if we're discussing legality, project magma is on the same legal footing as renwood. Just so you know dac, Ooga has had a loose association with Magma (as have many other people), but has never been a member of the development team, and has no right to speak on its behalf.dac wrote:oh not holding my breath, just offering up precious time and precious talent. if they would let somebody like you on it then its clearly not my kinda place, but thanks for the heads up bro - good lookin out.oogaBooga wrote:Dont hold your breath, dac. ooga speaking out of place... im shocked, really.iron wrote: Just so you know dac, Ooga has had a loose association with Magma (as have many other people), but has never been a member of the development team, and has no right to speak on its behalf.
Actually I am a member of magma, just not the programming team.dac wrote:ooga speaking out of place... im shocked, really.iron wrote: Just so you know dac, Ooga has had a loose association with Magma (as have many other people), but has never been a member of the development team, and has no right to speak on its behalf.
thanks for the heads up though, i do appreciate it
i was wondering why he wasnt on the "about" section on the site
Actually posessing the "original materials" without being take 2 _is_ illegal.Death's Avatar wrote:Possession is not illegal. Selling is. Selling is what he did.
