Well I am blaming consoles because of the user base. Publishers would not be doing this, if people were not supporting these bad things I mentioned with their $

The advantage consoles have is that less tech savvy people I.E. less educated people are able to use them for online gaming. Consoles also have the advantage of the same system specs for every unit sold (with Hard drive sizes and installed memory being the only physical changes from box to box)
This means you dont have to make your game work on and trouble shoot an infinite amount of configurations and multiple OS support like with a PC or Mac game. (granted a giant pain in the ass!)

This site is my current hope for Myth:
http://www.gog.com/en/frontpage/

They don't have a deal with Take2 yet, but they keep signing new companies and getting more games, and they just got EA on board (which for me means Ultima, the other game series besides Myth that I most wanted to see resurrected). Here's hoping.

Good old games is great, but they don't support Mac at the moment, (right?).

It would be nice to have cross platform support, Mac, Linux and Windows all for distribution.

I was going to start a thread about gog.com, but never mind, this was already done. Just a reminder we should all vote for myth II to be released on gog.com (even though the number of hits/wishes is still small compared to other games)

for lazy people: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games

Aye, and since my last post, GoG now supports Mac. :D
