You still have not updated the game as I suggested. Download and run the 1.7.2 update.

After running the update, did you copy the "Patch 1.3" plugin from the GB disk to your plugins folder like I mentioned some posts ago? Before doing this keep a copy of the Patch 1.3 you currently have. With the GB file you will be able to play GB but normal Myth2 games will be red on mariusnet since they use the normal Patch 1.3 file. So you will need to switch out to play online.

You were waiting that long because most people were asleep during that time. Does it allow you to play normal Myth2 levels? Take a screenshot of the plugins folder now that you updated.

Ok, I was able to figure it out once I looked at the GB files. Does your GB come with v1.0 versions of the files plus the v1.1 update? Or does it come as v1.1 already? The v1.1 update replaces the GB's "Patch 1.3" file with "GB_(Patch 1.3)V1.1". Due to how Myth2 works and how this v1.1 update was made, it means you get to keep the original Patch 1.3 you get from your Myth2 copy or given from the latest update. To play normal Myth2 with others you still have to take GB_(Patch 1.3)V1.1 out, but at least the name won't be conflicting with the original.

So get rid of your Patch 1.3, place the original (non-GB) version back in. Then place the GB_(Patch 1.3)V1.1 file into your plugins folder.

the installation already included the v1.1 files.
also i dont have a gb_patch1.3_v1.1 file in my folder only the the gb_solomeshes_1.1 and multi meshes etc.

EDIT:
Now when i replaced the patch it keeps going back to the main menu when it is loaded half way and it also does not include the intros.

Ok, we are getting close then. Show me a screenshot of the contents of the GB disk, please. I want to see how it is different from what I've seen. Go to http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/ and download the "md5sums-1.2.zip" file. Use that program to find out the MD5 sum of the 4 GB files (MultiMeshes, MultiMythOveride, SoloMeshes, and Patch 1.3).

Copy/paste the MD5 sums for those files and I will compare with the ones I got. By the way, I renamed my "GB_(Patch 1.3)V1.1" file to "Patch 1.3" and it still worked.

Just to be safe, do you have anything inside your "local" folder found in your Myth II folder?

I got my version of green berets with 2 physical CD's; one with Myth and one with Green Berets.
Notice I had to do a manual install since I was on a mac. Later I found out that there was an update to v1.1 on my CD, but I needed pluginpatcher for that. So, I downloaded that program from udogs and patched everything.
My plugin folders now contains the following files for green berets:
GB_SoloMeshes_V1.1
GB_MultiMythOveride_V1.1
GB_MultiMeshes_V1.1
Patch 1.3 (2,6 mb)

I just tried to load a level, and somehow it returns me to the main menu!
I think there's something wrong with my patch 1.3 ; I could remember that it had a way larger size when I installed it.

Some of your error messages indicate you have files in your local folder. This can mess things up if you try to play single player or in a TCP/IP game. The local folder is mostly ignored only when you are on a metaserver like MariusNet. Either delete the local folder or rename if you intend to mess with later.

As for Green Berets, your Patch 1.3 got overriden when you ran the latest update of Myth2. It overrides your patch plugins if they are different. Grab the Patch 1.3 from GB and patch it. Then place that new files back into your plugins folder. Does the patched file have "GB_(Patch 1.3)V1.1" as the name or no?

Thanks for the tip - after replacing patch 1.3 I can play Green Berets again.
I already suspected there was something wrong with the patch - that's why I made a remark about size of the file.
I don't remember how the 'patch 1.3' came out of pluginpatcher - I could've renamed it, I don't remember. I thought there was a 'patch notes' file on my green berets cd with instructions on how to use pluginpatcher to patch everything to v1.1 . I'll look that textfile up for you later - right now my green berets sits in a cd-box, with a pile of other things on that box.
