In my humble opinion, Cydonian and yourself sit on the same shelf of unitmakers.

So you didn't make a 3D model of a better-looking Thrall/Zerk and take screenshots. My god, that must have been massively difficult and frustrating. I wouldn't know about making collections but I get the basic idea. This sounds a bit stupid, but who was Cydonian and why was he god-like?

A Hi-Res Unit Tagset would be cool, but unless the majority of the community chips in to help make hi-res units, then it aint gonna happen.

No no no, Iron *did* make new models for those units.

Off the top of my head, units that weren't made into new models by Iron were:
Journeyman
Trow
Mortar Dwarf.
Things like that, I think there's more.

Cydonian = I'd say father of M2 unitmaking, to be fair. While I consider IronDuke and Cydonian around equal, it was Cydonian who got the ball rolling.

Cydonian was also the most prolific unitmaker by far. He made nearly every unit in The Seventh God, and the Homelands, and Bushido, and Gor'Ash. Which is like fifty units or something.

I think Iron *did* make a Mortar Dwarf. I've seen it in Frenzy and Mazz 5. I could be wrong.

The mort is made from the uncompressed bitmaps of the Bungie model.

It's great. You can see the dwarfs body go through the mesh of his mortar, the pictures are that much clearer. Haha.

the mort isn't mine, its from a series of hi-res renders that Bungie did, as are the beautiful heron etc.

Cydonian was not only more prolific than anyone else, but the design and texturing of his units were brilliant (especially the 'shido and TSG ones) and I don't hold a candle to him when it comes to animation.

I love the legionaires from TSG.
I decided to look up in the sky, and lo and behold there was a BoB. I stared at him, and he stared back. There was silence for a great while until he said in a thunderous, booming voice..."Okay, Okay, DON'T Frogblast the ventcore."

Indeed, maybe some of your walking cycles look a little hokier than Cydonians.
I still rate your units very highly though.

For the person who asked what Cydonian worked on.

Projects he was a primary contributer to:

1861 Civil War (merged into Blue & Grey?)
1861: Deercreek Bridge
Bushido : Solo (Units, Artwork, Voices, Narrations, Scenery, Music, and Colormaps)
Bushido Units
Bushido-Tehajimeni map pack
Bushido : Ouishiana Temples
Group of Coops 2
Green Berets
Pirates of the Carribbean
Pleasant Valley Sunday
The Northlands
Wabe in the Gimble
WWII: American Soil
Worlds Collide

Other projects that his creations or pieces of his creations appeared in include:
HomeLand
Havre River
Hvergelmir
1861 : Autumn
Legend Of Gor Ash
Bushido : Map Pack 2 - Sekando
Bushido: Shogun Battle
Lord Goda's Castle
Darkest Before Dawn / In the Mouth of Madness
Five Kingdoms
Freedom II
Gardens of Aja
Gettysburg
If Only I had a Parrot
Clue
Isle of Storms
Malarius
Platform (Star Wars)
Saint Neptune
Taliesin Downs
The Ephor of Myrgard

He also wrote a REALLY good myth II mapmaking tutorial which probably indirectly contributed to many other maps being created.
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.
