Would it make a difference if it was a map with a lot of map actions vs a map with none? That's the only thing I can think of that would make my coop games lag while the multiplayer maps worked fine.

Map actions can take a while to execute (special care needs to be taken to make sure many map actions are executing at once). If tons of map actions are working, the game WILL lag. What happens is the map actions take up more the 1/30th of a second, so ticks get missed. And while map actions are running, no networking can be done (that's how the engine is designed), which produces lag. So scripters need to be really careful to not overwhelm the engine w/ too many things running at once.

Ok i found a bug, it seems that all timestamps for saved games are put as PM, regardless of if they should be AM or PM

i thought all mine were too, till i was playin at 1am and looked and saw 1pm.. thn looked over my 100's of saved games and saw they all read PM when many were def AM

Maybe that's why its not been noticed yet, most games ARE pm

i was playing a game of mazz6 today on mnet. leaving the game, the metaserver lobby was still loading and i exited to go to the main menu and then quit the game. however, after i hit the "leave" button i was taken to the desktop. here's the osx crash report:

Cutscenes:

I seem to recall cutscenes don't work in the UB. However, it was also mentioned that they would have to be quicktime movies (but they would be too big to download).

How about someone recorded the cutscenes using the tool that woof used for Mazz 6? Would that work?

Cutscenes dont work on intel macs as of yet because there is no UB of the smacker player/encoder that myth uses to play its cutscenes and is bundled in the app. I would think a UB version will come out.

You are correct as the reason why there is no support for them. However, I doubt a UB version would come out, and even if it does, Bungie had some sort of contract w/ RAD Games to license it and distribute that original version. I doubt RAD Games would give us a free update of their proprietary library.

That should make the recodings of cutscenes into quicktime files! I think woof used an app to record what was going on on his screen to make the Mazz 6 movies. That's what I'm trying to say!

but someone would actually have to run the recordings to save them. Im asking if there is an option that wouldnt require people donwloading 100's of mb's of cutscene quicktime movies
