I *know* we can start 1.4.4. and watch films in there. Why should we have to do that? Why is it so difficult to have 1.4.4. films work in 1.6? What is wrong with the 1.4.4 films that they will not work in 1.6?

It is not a solution to say "Just start up 1.4.4". It is not efficient to have two different copies of the same game sitting around on a hard disk. Using 1.4.4 of Myth to view films is not a fix or a solution.

You don't need two copies of Myth II. You just need the Myth II v1.4.x application icon in your Myth II directory, all the required information is in the Myth II v1.6 install.

Elfoid: Running the 1.4.x application in your 1.6 directory will wreck your 1.6 preferences, and vice-versa.

I'm afraid we don't support 1.4 game play in the 1.5/1.6 code base. 1.4 was a bit different. 1.5.x returned more to the 1.3 game style play and we have kept film play back in tact since then. 1.3 film play back still has some issues which we will work to fix in the future. I'm afraid 1.4.x film play back just won't happen unless we hear geater demand for it.
