When other people host (mostly 3rd party coop) I get like 1/4 way along load bar then I'm desktopped. Making a new plugins folder and throwing plugs in there, fixes it for a few games, then it happens again. Occurred on Broken Path Into Breach, Heroes of Coop, Mazz Demise and others. It didn't happen before 1.5b2

First:

1. Check your mythlog.txt
2. check your plugins
3. see if any programs or files are conflicting with Myth
4. send films...that might help
5.Get a Mac ;)

um... forgive me, but if he never loaded the level, how can he send a film?

But I agree with the Mac suggestion.:)

We have fixed it for the final version, you can download the current PC manual installer and just install the .exe file and your problem should be fixed. If you report back here that would be great also, just so we know it fixed your problem.

Used manual installer, first 3rd party coop I play, WHAM "Helloooo Mr Desktop how are you today?"

Ok I'll list exactly what I do when installing maybe that will help.

1.Delete all M2 stuff (except plugins, recordings and formations.
2.Custon install (everything but Network only) Install into default directory.
3.After consulting readme, place the files where it tells me.
4.Took the patch files out of old plugins folder and deleted, put the newly downloaded 1.2, 1.3 etc files in the old plugs folder.
5.Replace new plugs folder with old one.
6.ditto with recordings folder
7.Chuck formations in.
8.Drink Heavily

I don't work for Magma but I play Myth on TV and it looks to me like the quick solution to your problem is to move your old recordings out of your local folder.

Perhaps a version compatibility issue. Strange I had no idea Myth loaded the recordings on startup.

Why would I have any films in local folder?

Anyway the above myth log text was my PB2 problem and I'd note that those films are no longer in.

Anyone else?

OK now that magma is developing m3 as well, I'm getting identical problems on both myths. Only I can't even play multi on M3 now with the latest build.

It looks like Myth is failing to read files from your folders.. perhaps your Windows user account does not have read access to them?
