How to defend against top rated ghol/puss players.

Many people have different tactics and it would be fantastic to hear from you which strategy is better to use.

The alternate tactic a ghol/satchel/pus (their main target being archers?), but that to is easily beaten with thrall blocking the middle again. But I suppose they could flank. By them using this tactic I know that they won't have wights in the water.

We kept the game short so people would get tempted to bonzai rush. In this game, my practice opponent didn't rush me from the middle. The bonzai rush sometimes works because wights can't get into position fast enough, which is why you want maybe 1 dwarf.

...have we time warped back to 1998?

News flash: if any "top rated" player wants to puss you, there isn't much you are going to be able to do about it. It may seem unfathomable to you, but many of us have been playing this game for 14 years and know every trick in the book.

The pus dont always work and as you can see its a grreat waste of resources. Pus only works on clumped up units. Karma sacraficed his thrall to pus what?

puss does NOT only work on clumped up units... it can easily be used effectively on single units, too... you have a lot to learn.

What single unit on creep did you have in mind?

well... a dorf, obviously. another puss ghol. even a killing a single bowman can give someone an advantage.

Even if I had 1 dorf, I doubt it would have mattered.

The other team was traveling light. And why would you get a dorf on creep?

What could I do with 1 dorf in the water? I'd rather use 6 points on a wight.

1 wight strike turns the tide.

Don't you know dwarves are only good for flinging satchels with generals? Otherwise only noobs pick them.

Ofcourse we know something will get pussed. But he wasted it on the thrall which was my intention..

I kept a few wights in the back for decoy or possible bonzal rush.. My archers damaged his warriors so far from his supply lines.

I haven't even watched the video, so I have no idea who your opponent was, and can't really comment.
