It's here! The maps for Myth World Cup 2025.
The first in a potential series, this combines multiple competitive maps in a single download. Hopefully more of these volumes can continue over time.
This includes 6 maps:
Primordial Soup, the wonderful map by remedial., updated by Zak, and further updated by Jon God, has new trades from previous versions, and is farther zoomed out. It also has some minor flag placement changes.
The Barrens, originally by Rohan, updated by LB, and now by Jon God, finally has a fair middle start, and doesn't favor the north team.
Valley of Ruin, previously a nearly lost to time TFL map by Deadman, a map that deserves to be a classic, but wasn't fated to be so, until now. Includes multiple new unit trades, a farther zoomed out camera, and alternate 2 team start locations.
Rank and Defiled, by Malkavian, updated by Jon God, and now has 3 variants, Original, mortars replaced with dudded mortars, so you'll need pus to set them off, Finally, motarless. On top of that it has a new colormap, which should make it a little more visually readable, especially around each base.
The Tain, by Badlands and Zak, updated by Jon God. I fixed some graphical issues, and added ambient life-less versions of all the meshes, as well as making new detail textures, so it doesn't use the Thaw snow textures.
Alpine Dream, original map by Ephemeral, updated by Jon God for release. Either this or the next map is likely the prittiest map ever made for Myth II. It contains a lot of terrain, ambiance and personality. Easy to say, there's really nothing like it.
Trespass, original map by Deadman, updated for release by Jon God. Wow. Where do I start... This map has been sitting in a nigh finished state for nearly decade, and I finally got ahold of Deadman again, and was able to get permission to update and release it for this MWC. I don't want to spoil too much, but enjoy!
Special thanks to: Asmodian, limp, Deadman, Ephemeral, remedial., Rohan, Badlands, Zak and Malkavian.
