The Mjolnir Project Tagset

The Mjolnir Project is my own vision of Marathon in the Myth engine. It was created with the intent to mimic the behaviors and aesthetics of Marathon more closely than any other Marathon-related project that has been released to date.

This isn't just the SitH tagset with a few tweaks - this is a complete overhaul of everything you can think of. The entire health/damage system was changed to model the attributes in Marathon as exactingly as possible.

Aside from the many, many fixes, there is another aspect that sets this project apart from the others - A buttload of new weapons, enemies, and friendlies to play with! Every marine is able to pick up dropped weapons, and can hold up to 9. Dying enemies can drop weapons and health cannisters randomly, and dead bodies can be blown up to yield more undiscovered booty!

New weapons include:

The Pfhor Shockstaff

The Railgun from EVIL

The Nuke Gun from EVIL

The MASER from Rubicon

The Disintegrator from Rubicon

The Carpet Mortar from Rubicon

New enemies include:

Sigma Fighters

Sigma Hunters

Sigma Troopers

Rubicon Chamberlain

Rubicon Thinkers

Rubicon Juggernauts

Rubicon Enforcers

Rubicon Drones

Rubicon Assault Rifle BoBs

Rubicon Cleanroom BoBs

Rubicon Maser BoBs

EVIL Cydrones

I planned to release the tagset along with the mapset i'm working on, but i'll need some dedicated testers to help me get the balance right. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, go ahead and drop me a line at oogaboogan@yahoo.com, and we'll setup weekly playtimes that work for everyone.

A huge thanks goes out to LegacyTyphoon and Forrest of Bungie.org, who were instrumental in the development of this project.

Blue & Grey - Ammo Depot

I made this a few years ago... so it's probably about time to upload it here.

This is a huge 2-team map for B&G. It has a ton of units, big hills and forts, and reinforcements. Typically the games are very long unless you turn off reinforcements by changing the difficulty, in which case its just long.

This map requires the B&G tagset from Project Magma.

-Update to version 1.3 mainly to raise the camera height

Myth1Soulblighter v1.1

Notes

(P.S. I have found I messed up with the original version of this, and the dwarf throwing distance. I was going to replace this version on the Tain, but instead, I realized that the original version stays pretty hard, while this version is much easier, so I am leaving the original version up. LINK: http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/myth1soulblighter)

Some people like Myth 1, some people like Myth 2, I don't really care to elaborate on why.

Since you can play all of Myth 1 in Myth 2 via Magma's The Fallen Levels, along with a true Myth 1 experience via vTFL/TFL Interface/TFL options. I thought that it would be nice to be able to play the Myth 1 levels with the Myth 2 units, with Myth 2 style physics, archers and all.

I know this will probably make the levels a lot easier, and many 'hardcore' Mythers will look down on this. But I know that people have complained trying to play the Fallen levels after getting used to Myth 2, then going back to Myth 2, and so on. This is for all those people, not people that want an authentic Myth 1 experience.

Installation

Put the file, "Myth 1 Soulblighter" in your plugins folder, along with Magma's "The Fallen Levels v2" which can be found at the tain, via this link:

http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/the-fallen-levels-v2

Then start a new game, or a multiplayer coop, go to the plugins screen and activate both plugins, and start a level.

Credits

Bungie - For making Myth 1 and Myth 2, and giving us great creation tools.
Project Magma - For keeping myth alive after 11 years, and doing so much for Myth.
Mariusnet - For giving us a place to play.
ThreeTigerSilverWind - For the Idea
Pyro - For the help when I needed it.
Jon God - For making this, and fixing all the bugs so far.
Steel Axe, LegacyThypoon and ThreeTigerSilverWind - Testing

Thanks and Enjoy!

Imps at the Door! 1.1

A quick fix from 1.0, A patrol of Warriors caused enemeis to gather at a section of wall.

Some Nobility Has angered a Hoard of Imps and goblins.

You must keep two of the three barons alive and survive the infestation to win!

Taunt near a baron with the HERO to control him and his guards.

If said HERO dies , any uncontrollable units will remain uncontrollable for the game.

I used Mormith's awesome Imp and Chuckler units from Slay it Aint SO also Creation's groovy Dwarf Axe and Orcan from TSG.

im still working on the gameplay and objectives but it offers some messy fun at the moment.
