Do you have an intel mac or a ppc mac? if you have a ppc mac and a version of OS X that supports old macs then Classic should be builtin to the OS. If you double-click on a classic Mac app (pre OS X) like 'Amber' and it doesn't automatically open up a 'classic' window then you are out of luck. You can't just run 'Classic' as a seperate Mac application, my understanding of it is that is very tightly hooked into the operating system and the CPU chip itself.pallidice wrote:can someone tell me where to get classic i have version 10.4.11 right now
Lots of Myth stuff at http://mythgraveyard.org.
Sometimes I put hard to find stuff in my my Udogs folder.

If you have an OS 9 installation disk, you can use it to install Classic if it didn't come preinstalled on your computer. A quick way to check if you have it installed already is to check the root level of your hard drive. If there's a folder there called "System Folder" (not just "System", that's for OS X), you're good to go.
The cake is a lie.
Classic has to be chosen as an option when you install the OS if it wasn't already found (i.e. you didn't have OS 9 on already).
Run your installation disk(s) again and look for a "Customise" button, click this to find classic and deselect everything else (so you ONLY install Classic, no sense in installing any part of OS X again).
You may also be able to find it by digging around on the install disk but it's easier just to follow the installer.
