crocodile unit
but here goes a rough sketch of the river I was mentioning
it's just a colormap I did really quick for a new level, but the river colors blended really nice, so if I continue working on it + throw some nicer plants it could look really nice with crocs...
and hoplites are sloooooooooow when crossing rivers, so crocs or missile troops can harm them really bad...
as you can see I worked so little on the map that even the water reflections are wrong, they reflect blue...
but whatever, you are right, I'll work on the gameplay, no crocodiles....for now...

edda: well it's a 2d render out of an animated 3d model.
it's a complicated thing but if you don't do too many animations (lime in the case of crocs) it's pretty easy, I do the units in poser, then photoshop, then amber, then fear, then loathing, I guess most of the units in myth where done this way, although now some guys are using more complex programs like maya instead of the older poser thing
thanks gug

will it work....
Carlino did you ever test to see if y
your larger than 256x256 bit maps
would work online or on pc's ?
I know in 1.3 myth that anything over 256 pixels
would crash many pc's online....
you really should do some testing before 1.7
cuz it could be something 1.6 did or did not
fix
it would be a bummer if the only way to play
would be offline or with macs ...
lag aside if it does work renders could
look a lot nicer.... and would solve the unit
changing by artifact object size problem by being able
to render to scale....

umm good idea...
Well build a plug and we will see... I have the macs and the pc's to test it on
get your marius acount or guest guest it...
i know it works offline on the mac...
we have played that though will be fun to see how it plays or lags online....
if it works smooth then myth just got a lot better looking....
render of bitmaps wise...
