Continuous healing

Post by gugusm »

How can I make such a continuous healing? You know, normally when unit is being healed and gets hit, healing stops. But I want to make it being healed to the end, until unit reaches it's 'healing fraction' or full health, doesn't matter.

Simple, the reason a unit is stopped from being healed all the way is its flinch fraction. If its flinch fraction is very low or even zero, than most or all attacks will make the unit flinch. If the flinch fraction was higher then small attacks will not make the unit flinch. If the attack doesn't make the unit flinch, it won't interupt its healing either.

its either in monster or projectile!

Yeah what Zeph said is true. It is a flag in the monster tag called "No Flinch when Healed". With it checked the unit will not flinch when it is being healed.

Also you may need to be sure the "healing amount" is enough - depending on how much damage the unit can take. Not sure if this might be a factor.

Definitely use the settings described above if they apply (doesn't stop while healed is a good one), and also check out the Heron Hero for an example of a unit that just keeps on healing.

OK, thanks for your help guys. HG hero looks like the other units I think, but his flinch system shock is 0.100, which is much bigger than the other units'. So it seems to be a main factor.
