Music too loud when volumeis right for the game sound FX
Anyone know how to fix the fact that to hear the sound effects in game at the right volume, the menu music is way too loud? It annoying having to turn the volume up and down all the time!
So I turn the volume down in the menu so the music is at normal volume, then I go into the game and hi F4 for 100% volume, does that mean (I hope) that if I die I can hit Shift-F4 to zero the volume before going back to the menu?Pyro wrote:When you load a map/level... press F4. Odds are you didn't have the in game volume in 100%. Which is probably why the main menu sounds loud... you had in game volume low.
In any event, would have been nice if the game dealt with sound better, rather than just one slider for all and then off/on buttons for all the other sound options.

In the games defense, "music" only appears on the main menu, which you can turn off. Never had any problems with it being too loud, or louder than anything else though...humorguy wrote:So I turn the volume down in the menu so the music is at normal volume, then I go into the game and hi F4 for 100% volume, does that mean (I hope) that if I die I can hit Shift-F4 to zero the volume before going back to the menu?Pyro wrote:When you load a map/level... press F4. You clearly haven't played a solo map for a while. Every time you win or lose a mesh there's postgame music. I think this is what he's talking about.Death's Avatar wrote:In the games defense, "music" only appears on the main menu, which you can turn off. I have found it helps to turn down the sound hardware acceleration, but it only helps somewhat. I have tried the regular Myth II and it's the same, so it's not a Fallen Levels problem.
Neverheless, despite still trying to solve this problem, I have to tell you I am having great fun playing Fallen Levels! The game is just as hard as I remember it to be, but I think I am coping a bit better now than I did 10 years ago!
