1.5.1 when it comes out will provide OpenGL rendering on Windows, which will overcome a host of lag issues caused by Direct3D.

For those of you who may not wish to wait, I'd really like to recommend This Glide Wrapper. Put simply, you install the software, run Myth and choose 3DFX from preferences. On my machine (P4 1.8ghz Geforce3) I was getting faster fps than D3D without any of the problems, and it looked good as well.

Thanks to whoever it was posted about this on the playmyth forums :)

Hmm. Has anyone tried this? It'd be interesting to know whether its of help or not, given the number of ppl (especially those with nVidia cards) who have problems with Direct3D...

Maybe you should come home Iron. Come back to udogs hotline. Ask folks there. They're a whole lot more responsive one on one ;)

I'll be sure to point this thread out ww2 rank h00rz who suffer from swamps lag and such... I know 1.5.1 fixes that, does this? I suppose you dont know :/

What's the ETA on 1.5.1 anyhow... it's so complete... get it on the shelves mb. Or at least get that public beta out... duno what the hold up is.. 249.5 has been out for at least a week now..nothing seems wrong.. I'd ship it.
