Are you in windowed mode or full screen? If windowed, try pressing Ctrl+G to "grab" the cursor and constrain it within the window.

Try using Windowed with the resolution set to your desktop's resolution. If that isn't enough then see if enabling the pref "Use Multiple Processors / Cores" helps with the choppiness.
My screen resolution is 1920x1080. If I set Myth to that I get low FPS around 20. I set Myth resolution to 1280x1024. It looks like what happens is with 1.7.2 when I clicked the Maximize button it kept that same resolution but just stretched it out. With 1.8 when I click the Maximize button it actually changes the resolution to my screen resolution. If I use alt/enter it keeps the same resolution 1280x1024 but stretches it out. So I am able to get better FPS. I realize now that I have been playing with a bit of a disadvantage since at the lower resolution I have less zoom and less screen visible. I attached some pics of the difference they have the FPS counter running. When taking the screen shot one of the times I switched to full screen I had a weird glitch or something. I have that included.
Is my comp that outdated that I cant play Myth at highest resolution?
I dont know why it gave different resolutions 1280x1012 isnt even an option in preferences.
Sounds similar to the slow downs i was having with differing resolutions...

Broken: Screen shot key is taken over and outputs black screen capture. Also, Screen shot should be mapped to alternate key combo so user can take screen shots with native OS windows' facility.

Update on my previous report: if I quit the level, then restart (i.e. without quitting Myth), buildings are rendered correctly.
Koos wrote:Hi
I'm seeing rendering errors with buildings in the 1.8.0 beta on Linux -- it appears that the clipping and/or texture rendering is incorrect; they seem to render like skybox textures. I'm attaching screenshots of 1.7.2 (correct rendering), and 1.8.0 (two different angles; note that the reflection of the windmill seems to be correct).

What OS are you on and what settings are you using (full screen, windowed, automatic, etc)? Regarding OS native screenshot key, on Windows, use ALT-Printscreen to take a capture of the current window to the clipboard; Myth will not interfere with that.

Impossible. I'm on 10.6.8 and running Myth 1.8 at 1920x1080.

Myth for Mac used to show more resolutions that had various different aspect ratios. Changes made for Myth on the Mac side changed this, and it now shows less resolution options which your monitor supports. The same way Myth for Windows has been doing already. That resolution Point was using is just one that his monitor does not support. Anyone using only their native desktop resolution won't even notice this change.

I have a problem where Myth 2 keeps getting minimized when a game start. When I then maximize Myth bad things happen with the UI.
The screenshots it saves are also bitmap so massive.

Can you show us your myth_log? It is in your Myth2 folder. Also what Myth2 prefs do you have for graphics section?
