I'm afraid there is little interest in messing with the PC tools at this point. After being left in the dust bin for so long the Mac tools are now finally the better set of tools as they should be.
Oh BTW, Build 274 with fixes for the various limit problems is now up at http://myth.busybsoftware.com
This whole ball of wax will ship in the very near future so test now or you will find yourself hoping that Vista or 10.5 breaks 1.5.2 and we have to make a new set of builds.

Hmm, but how much work would adding that one checkbox be to the Windows Fear? I realise from hard experience that GUI's can be a bitch, but the coding surely should be minimal, since the Mac version should tell us where in the file that flag goes, so you can just copy/paste and tweak as required?
I don't think either set of tools should be superior if we can avoid it, as there are mappers for both platforms, and PCs are still crippled with the inability to use Amber or other Mac only programs.

all i can say is plz dont rush the release... give it a few weeks of testing. I have a triathlon this weekend so i wont get to online testing till next week... Ill do what i can this week as my work schedule allows.... great job gang and thanks for all your hard work.

Also, various comments on the Fear build (I haven't had much chance it use it until I started playing with it recently):
Green is not a good colour for new things, on a white background it's hard to read! A darker green would maybe work
Typing in the name of something while in a list (e.g after you open Projectiles) doesn't scroll to that item, makes it slow to find things as I can't just type in "gh" to get to ghôl.
Also, where are the additional options that 1.4 opened up? Doesn't the PC version have all these as checkboxes/text-fields to make it easier to enter them in? Atm it looks like we still need to use terrain parameters?
You mispelled "Propelled" in the monster tag 
Otherwise it's awesome, it's just as Fear used to be on OS 9, but for OS X! It's also MUCH faster, it loads and opens things instantaneously on my G5, while in Classic it would take a while to open.
