Because I am not a fan is precisely why I felt the need to look it up. I had a clear idea of when disco became known as disco from having had the misfortune to have been alive and sentient through the era of that musical abomination that was called disco, but I thought it best to confirm my recollection.
In regards to disco meaing 'nightclub', unless when you said "Its like a black and white film compared to 1960s disco" you meant to say "Its like a black and white film compared to 1960s discoS" the slang definition of 'disco' = nightclub is completely irrelevant.
I quess the question is, were you saying the difference between Myth games was like the difference between black and white films and Disco Music? or between black and white films and 1960's nightclubs?
Actually now that I think about it I can't see that either metaphor really makes much sense since the things being compared are too dissimilar for meaningful comparison. See below.
Opinion Poll Question 1:
Which do you prefer?
a) Black and White films
b) Disco Music
Opinion Poll Question 2:
Which do you prefer?
a) Black and White films
b) 1960's era British nightclubs
see what I mean?

I was referring to a post about the coloursin the games. TFL/SB = bright and colourful units (especially in multiplayer - units that get their skin coloured as opposed to weapons, like ghol and trow can produce a rainbow of colours in ffa). TWA = dull, bland and sometimes even difficult to tell the difference between what units are yours and what aren't.
It was a specific reference to the colour schemes and how they compare, not the quality of the rest.

You compared Myth II and TFL though.

Unit colour wise they're pretty similar!!
I've got myself in such a hole by agreeing with someone here :O

What annoyed me most in TWA:
(1) Unit "idle" sequences had little or no delay in them. Units were
constantly moving, like they needed a bathroom break. To me this was unrealistic and distracting.
(2) The Dwarves looked like they were carrying eggs in their pants.
(3) Someone decided to replace the superb voice-overs from Myth II with incredibly amateur keeerap. There was something the Archers said that actually made me groan out loud - can't recall it now - but it sounded like something done by 7th graders for a project they didn't enjoy.
(4) The Warlocks appeared wimpy instead of cool like they did in Myth II.
(5) The Wights. OMG. Somehow I never thought the
Michelin Man fit into the Myth storyline...
[rant]I can never understand the desire people have to replace things that work well with keeerap. If they're going to replace something, it better darn well be an improvement, otherwise leave it alone or just copy it as-is for crying out loud.

I did think some of the effects - such as shadows and lights - were interesting, but didn't necessarily add to the game except while playing solo. Would have been nice to have the option to turn off some of the effects (much like turning blood on/off) if one didn't like them (that's the way I would code it).
I
really liked the concept of putting an emblem on the Flags and things like the Warrior shields. I thought this was COOL, even though I could never get it to work (even after fumbling through someone's tutorial long, long ago).
Overall, I never got into the game much because it hard-crashed my computer (this was before the FlyingFlip patches were available) and I vowed to never install it again.
One of these days I'll fire it back up.

units have bad response time.
Yea, response time is rly bad - some1 even compared it 2 huge sigleplayer lag ( and indeed it is so ). Can this be fixed somehow, how do u think.
Somehow its also harder 2 click on proper single unit in MIII - I have wasted lotsa madrake roots clicking by accident on nearby healthy units.
...and matter of myrks... IMO they r worst m3 looking units ( new myrks sounds r also hopeless ). If there be new MIII patch myrks voices should be replaced with m2 sounds ( and root healing - as it was in classis mappack plug )

Myrks always seemed fine to me, just annoying how a red one can kill a full health Connacht on occasion.
The pus itself is perfectly fine in M3, the long overdrawn throwing action of the ghols is not.

There is a plug somewhere that speeds the units up to make it feel more like m2. It helps, but m3 units still move odd.
I never got into TWA due to the fact it always crashed my computer, and it still does some times
I liked the lighting effects and some of the scenery.
I didn't mind some of the models, but they are way too low poly. M2 bmp collections are better.
I've probably played up tp 10 diff levels of m3, so 'm no expert.

That misclick thing plagued me too. Often I never select anything at all
Myrks don't look bad to me as such just don't look like Myrks. Too light. Too slow.
