Exactly. The relevant part, is that they used to be there in apache, and are not anymore. Which makes me think something changed with apache. But as sillek pointed out, if you look with an HL client, it will show you dates.

This was the only thing I said.

A sparsely worded post invites misinterpretation.
it wasn't clear to me whether you were just posting helpful information to someone wanting to see the file dates or were bringing up the fact that the dates still show in the hotline server as a reply/dispute to DA's explanation of the missing dates being related to changes on the Apache server.

I think it is worth noting that it doesn't matter at all which he meant. Fact: you can see dates with HL. This is all he said, that's all that matters.

Yes, and I've spent a fair amount of time on various forums/email lists explaining just that point to various people who seemed quite insistent that even though all I said was "X", that I of course MUST have meant "XY&Z".
So, keeping in mind that the only thing that matters is what a person says, NOT what I read into it, Sill asked how we got into "all this drivel". Taking his words literally and trying not to make assumptions about whether he
meant it to be rhetorical or not, I just tried to answer his question.

I'm posting a forum, not writing the next Declaration of Independence.
I'll make the picture smaller when I get home from work. Don't fret !

EDIT: Ok ok, that was more scathing then I intended. The point is this forum is filled with crap. We need to try and stay on topic and not debate semantics as much!

Of course, technically you are posting TO a forum... or maybe I am making assumptions about something you didn't write? Maybe you actually ARE posting a forum. I mean how should I know?

I was serious, actually. I was getting ready for work.
