Got Myth back in the day, when it first came out, and couldn't get into it, as it was to hard for me at the time. Last week I saw an ebay item of Myth 1, Myth 2, Myth 3 and the Myth add-on Green Berets for £10 ($15) including shipping, so I plumped for it and yesterday started looking for patches and found this site!

Firstly, I have to say a huge thanks for the patches and the plug-ins! Went straight for the Fallen Levels plug in to play Myth 1 in Myth 2! This is what I will start playing today, with vague memories of 10 years ago,I am sure in many ways it will be like playing for the first time!

No interested in online play, so also downloaded all the sole plug-ins (Nightfall 2.1 is a corrupted file though, I thought you should know!), which I will weave my way through in the coming months!:) Have to say thanks again to all the contributors of these plug-in's as some look very interesting indeed!

One question, if you don't mind: Should I have a regular windows cursor when playing the the Fallen Levels plug-in (which is all I have played so far)? It just doesn't look right, but that doesn't mean it isn't!

Looking forward to finding out how much (or how little!) I have improved over the last 10 years!

Have to say I am buying cheap classic games like Myth because I have personal doubts about the future of PC gaming. Whether that's a much smaller supply of quality games, meaning more spare time for quality retro PC gaming, or even no more PC games at all, where all you have and can buy on ebay is it. I hope I am wrong, but there are many signs of PC gaming shrinking, struggling and slowly becoming a has been that has a brilliant past but a dodgy future.

What do you mean? That you have a different mouse cursor when you are in the game than out of it? Make sure you are updated. Also if you have questions, you could check out the Myth Starter Guide.

And try online! At least coop play... its like solo plus more! :wink:

No, Imean usually in a game you get a 'game cursor' that is not the same same your regular cursor. In Fallen Levels it is that same windows mouse pointer, you know, the small white one. Just wondered if that was normal. I will check out the starter guide - thanks!

Aye there's no fancied up cursor in Myth. On the mac it's always been the standard mac black pointer. I think windows has always been the white one.

yikes, a former ordermate!

::tips hat::

Hey Gia. oddly enough, sarp, iron, drayven, and even serv have all made pop in appearances over the past few years. Dalridia was actually a regular last summer. I've been here for a bit over two years, and still enjoying things.

Funny thing - saw the spin pw used on a game a few weeks ago - and I was the only one that could join=) (you probably remember : grail)

on another note, Olympus, Temuut, Gore, and several others have also popped in from ~C~, and I am close to getting HWED back online with some other Geezers like Dain, Myshkin, Rev Ned, Isam, Pyl Dryver. Gonna get them to put together soccer hooligans team again, aka MWC 98.

You will probably do well to load up the TFL mappack - found on tain - and start rebuilding your plugins folder with revised favorites and coops as needed.

And, yeah - I have litterally hundreds of films from bungie.net - including countless Myth Done Quick films, the genesis of The Spanish Inquisition.

Those nights that we'd be locked up in the likes of stair of grief for hours and hours - still ranks among the best moments of myth for me.

I just don't miss Kighter and his tight underpants around his forehead.

welcome back mate
