"I guess I can look at the script later and see if I can find the cause, since Will might have forgotten how to do it (or is too busy/lazy)."

I might still know how to do it but all of my old Mything apps were OS9 and I haven't replaced them all yet with stuff that'll work on my Intel Mac. So much for progress!

If I recall, it was a line or two of script on the Snowtill mesh. I had to drag it onto a PC so that it wouldn't crash and then delete the funky script lines.

Just noticed there is a Freedom 1 lol. The unit sounds are really annoying, sounds like some little kid.

read much?

from the readme: (I've hilited the relevant portions to make it easier to absorb the information)

"This is a campaign made for a five year old, and it's also made by people who aren't the GREATEST mapmakers ever. Keep that in mind, dudes. Just bear with it; keep playing it, it gets better :)"

"I reiterate: try to play this plugin from the viewpoint of a little kid. The colourmaps are pretty awful (my bad) the scripting and general layout simple, the vocal talent questionable... just in general, this is one of the shoddiest solo campaigns ever made."

and...

"Credits!
William Wallet Zebonka Kellogs (Rev. Scotty Lorenz): Colourmapping, Loathing work, Fear work, vocal talent (hyuk hyuk) artwork, storyline, beta testing... most of it, eh. Oh, and he made this readme too!
Da Cid (David Kulessa): Many suggestions, extensive beta testing, vocal talent, artwork (he drew a thrall for something else, not in Freedom), storyline, moral support... and he claims that he's done a bit of Fear work, but I swear I told him to stay away from my 'localFREEDOM' folder.
Solomon 'Anything' Anthony (that ain't his nickname, it's a typo I just made!): Storyline, vocal talent, suggestions ("can you give me fifty hundred troops?" was one). He's the target audience of the project. I made this for him.
Tina Lorenz: Vocal talent.

Thanks for taking so much time out of your life to show me something that was totally irrelevant to this discussion?

How do you call that irrelevant? He was pointing out the reasons for exactly what you were talking about.

The messages this guy, are annoying.

Why not think before talking rude messages?

Be humble and recognize mistakes, it doesn't hurt anyone. Shows nobleness of spirit.

I know you can't possibly be as dense as you pretend to be, but just to humor you I'll try make it even simpler for you to understand.

The plugin wasn't intended to be a professional quality plugin, and it wasn't polished, it wasn't even made for the average myther.

The voices ARE by a little kid and THE PLUGIN WAS MADE FOR A LITTLE KID TO ENJOY.

You know - now that I think about it, I am surprised you don't like it more.

Okay? Why did you feel the need to tell me this? Just said the voices sound like they are little kids. Now you are trying to defend the entire plugin itself saying it was only made for kids and its not professional and blah blah. Okay, so it was made with a slant for kids, what are you so mad about? Never said one bad thing about the plugin.

Yet another lame attempt at trying to troll me and get me banned from these forums. Shouldn't you be happy enough that I'm completely banned from mariusnet and its website?

No, that isn't an attempt to "troll" you. They must have thought you were insulting Freedom 1 rather than just commenting about it. (There is a difference.) People react differently depending on who said what. For example, they thought you were insulting it so they attacked. If someone else who does not actively annoy or troll had said the same thing, it would have been dismissed as a comment.

So you were doing well to dismiss their attacks when you were stating that you didn't attack the plugin, but then you took two steps back with the comment about trolling you to get you banned.

I can't speak for vinyl but I personally didn't feel insulted. I made that thing when I was 17, ergo it *was* made by a kid for another kid - the only reason I think vinyl took issue was because Krok was stating the obvious, which is all too easy to interpret as a dick move. To be honest I thought it was a dick of a post, but I wasn't bothered enough at first to respond to it because, y'know - he's right! It was a plug with kids in it, and he was displaying his usual astuteness, alacrity and attention to detail by bringing it up.

You're quite a character. Like most conspiracy theories, this one has some holes in it. For one thing - to troll you into a big enough reaction to get you banned, one would have to pollute the forum somewhat and make it a less pleasant place to visit.

Who would want to do that? Not me, that's for damned sure. To keep the thread respectable I'd be glad to talk about anything related to my old plugins and listen to your criticisms. It's a bit late for me to be thinking about making new maps (Cid and I gave up on our last map in 2007) but it's fun revisiting this old junk. I'm always fascinated to see it dug up by strangers, and the reactions are fun to read.

Anyway, calm down some.

The best way to get someone to get over you is to NOT RESPOND TO THEM. In fact, if they REALLY bug you, just IGNORE ANY POSTS THEY MAKE.

So—Krok doesn't ever reply to vinyl, vinyl doesn't ever reply to Krok, and everyone is happy. Seriously, it's that simple.
