So sorry to say, we had an attack of Real Life & other hobbies :P Rabican's Last Stand got a bit of delay, and it probably won't be ready by Christmas. But I'll be getting back to work on it soonish, hehe.

Will is so optimistic, by the way.

After my exams I'll try to get back into the swing of it. :)

Probably a Mazz-style map that uses regular TFL units. I think...

Well... can't speak for Cid, but I've been angling at keeping it as TFL as possible. I'm not sure why we aren't using vTFL actually!

I have a odd question, what maid you name it after Rabican? is it because he was the first to beat mazz 6 on all difficalty lvls?

TFL tells us a story of Circle of The Nine.
"Nine sorcerers of great power who opposed the Fallen Lords during the Great War. Among them were Rabican, Murgen, Maeldun, Cu Roi, and their leader Alric."
"...Rabican was encircled and crushed by the Watcher, who attacked by surprise from the west.

Will and Cid: I hope that it will not be vTFL ( yeah yeah i prefer m2 gamplay : P ) couse it can be always turned on anyways.

You know Tireces, your comment makes me wonder if it ought to be a plugin with an option for vTFL - because at the moment, we're simply altering units to be TFL-like. The only reason we're not using vTFL is it seems to argue with our added units.

But I'll talk to Cid about this, I suppose it would make sense to let people play it M2 style as well.

The way we've done it so far, turning TFL on and off would be out of the question. Because the light units that we're using are going to be slightly stronger/have extra 1.6 features and stuff, we needed to port it over completely. So turning off vTFL would require, you know, getting rid of everything and starting again.

It should be in vTFL anyway, because that's when the level is set.

PS. Alzapa, this plugin has been in development since February. It's named after the actual Myth character.

Dont get me wrong, vTFL is a great thing but its always nice to have a choice....

BTW how many plugs that use TFL gamplay have been released after vTFL era ?
Ephor of Myrgard was made before vTFL, right ? EoM is sweet and rocks all the way but it would be cool to play it also with m2 units sometimes.
I dont like thinking "it happens during The Great War so it must be in vTFL" to much - its could be a plug for Myth 1 as well then.
Did u consider making two versions or is it 2 much work ?

Whatever version u gonna use I am sure that RLS will be great :D

Cheers

I don't recall the 'vTFL era' in the Myth world history, was that before or after the Wind Age?

My 2 cents worth - I think do it the way you are now. If you want gameplay to be tflish (or m2ish), modify the units as necessary to behave that way. That's the approach I took with Frenzy (and Ephor) and ChrisP took with Mazz.

The problem with vTFL for this kind of plugin is that its very difficult for it to correctly replace your units if they're using new graphics etc. Also, if you'd prefer it played with TFL then you can't really release it with a note in the readme or wherever saying "please activate TFL Gameplay". Most people who play the plugin won't read it or notice it.

So ... decide how you want the gameplay to be and build it in, that's my suggestion fwiw :)
