In my eyes, the main things that need fixing are simply the oos and crashing bugs. Such as going oos when the watcher shows. As well as seemingly not being able to host with more than 9 people.

With regards to archers, I find they only come in handy towards the end. You need them at the point when you get rushed by 5+ trow. The slay arrow is required then. Then when you reach mithril thrall the hellfire really comes in handy because its the only special that actually seems to damage those guys. Other than that archers suck the big one.

Just got to watcher again on leg. This time we taunted at the start with mazz so we were fighting vets too. However, once again most people went oos when watcher showed apart from me and two others. We then died :(

Ghost if you want any of my films of these to work out bugs or whatever. My email is s.a.fold@durham.ac.uk

Heya Ghost. I tried sending the e-mail to your comcast e-mail (ghostmythNOSPAM@comcast.net), but it didn't seem to work. And I didn't had the no spam bit. Here's a copy and paste of the text of the e-mail:

Heya man,

Been a while since I've seen you around. I hope everthing is well on your end. People have been frothing at their mouthes to a hold of an updated version of RotD. People are kinda annoying with the healing bug, where a heron guard, with full mana, will sometimes heal a unit twice, using the "free" mana heal, and then wasting a heal on a now fully healed unit. Kinda dumb.:\

Also, if you could give players the option of getting the extra units, without requiring them to have 8 or more players, that'd be nice.

I hope you're been staying clear of the Casinoes. :)

Best wishes,
Pete

---------------

I know that the archers may become important later, but they aren't that fun to use for the rest of the game. The electro lock seems to have a really slow mana recharge, and it really ineffective against anything except Mauls, wights, duffs, and a soul (if they can safely get close). I haven't had any OOS issues on Mazz though, or maybe one, that I can't really recall.

Cov, can you get the system specs of the host, and that of the people who are going OOS? Maybe more info could help track what the problem is.

Pretty sure that only windows go oos.

Im on osx 10.3.4 and have never gone oos on rotd. The same with others who ive played with who use macs.

However, it appears that those with macs seem to crash when we kill the watcher. Crash is a bad word though, I just get the spinning beachball of death and myth just doesnt respond anymore (thus I have to force quit).

Note to ghost: Any word on a final release date?

sOOnâ„¢ is all I can say. No one wants it done more than me, but I am juggling more than I can truthfully handle currently and RotD unfortuanatley seems to suffer for it. :o(

Im trying fellas, not a day, hour, minute goes by that I dont think I should have it done and released if_only I could balance my time just_right.[/color]

So are you just releasing this when 1.5.1 is done, or is it still on your 'to do list'? :0

ghost's been out doing real life since not long after he made that post, and we haven't heard from him since (as expected).

i gather there were one or two things that weren't finalised to ghost's satisfaction, and i don't know what they were.

so chances are slim that we'll release it with 1.5.1. sorry. :(
