My point was about an uncontrollable situation, (such as hackers tearing everything up like they did on pmnet) forcing Marius completely offline for lets say a month.PrplPplEater wrote:Valid points... all I can say is that Mariusnet won't be closing.
Without a backup server already set up and well known about the Myth community would die properly.
Atm having the Playmyth server even in it's current state is nothing but a good thing. I and the people I know can play there still, sure accounts can't be created but in general there is only 2 - 5 people signing up to play every month, and the majority of them don't commit for long.
If someone new comes along they will see the most recent News Message on PMnet, and if they really want to commit they will wait, or find their way to one of the Myth sites (such as projectmagma.net), and get details for how to get to Marius.
