Dammit! It's all crashing down in a fiery flame of fire!
Will, what are you doing to make these things not work?!?
Oh, has anyone tried the multiplayer maps? Even by yourselves?

Well you're looking at one mighty confused McCoolness mapmaker right here. Also disappointed with self - I'll try and figure something out - but I honestly don't know how to go about fixing things. I'll keep asking around I suppose.
Last level of Freedom has always been a pain in the arse. Tornberry could never get that one working, and i've never found out what was wrong with it (I don' think it's quite the same problem because I recall that level actually working on my PC).
Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the things that DO work though! Hey - are you guys playing on Timid or what?
***EDIT***
Take care of those heroes. They're US, guys.

Well here's the scoop.
Cid canvassed just about every Myth site he could think of with e-mails, and tried putting news up on Play Myth. I can't imagine why our plugin isn't making news. If Fallen Vengeance so much as FARTS it's up somewhere! (a friendly poke at the 'other' campaign at the moment).
I mean - just out of curiosity - you guys DID get those e-mails right?
I was just telling Cid on MSN to maybe e-mail again in case it didn't work. Would that seem pushy? Seriously, Freedom 1 was craphouse (well it had a sense of humour - but it sucked) and it got 240ish downloads at the Mill. Come on, I want Freedom 2 to beat that!
So yeah - should we try AGAIN to get the word around, because the only site that's said anything (God bless you Tarous Zar) is MythAddicts. And our site. Which no one sees. But hey, you SHOULD!
Getting sidetracked... I just want Freedom 2 played a bit before it disappears, even if it does crash PC's or whatever.

Uhm, I don't think they're that many people around anymore.
But still, for once I would like to be front page news for something we worked on for 2 years.
The only other time we made front page was when I accidentaly reviewed my own plug at the Mill. A whole article about ethical stuff or something. That was funny.

Yep yep, I wrote about that at our site. I might even have a pic of the headline that Clem wrote. It was the funniest thing ever - we made front page for all the wrong reasons.
And I know we prolly don't have 240 peoples around anymore, but that isn't to say our plugin doesn't deserve a bit more attention!

Played through Freedom II!
Its very funny although I think its sometimes too difficult (even on timid!) which can be frustrating. On most maps, there are just too many (!) units arround to control. It might play better online in coop mode, but I had no chance to try that. The storyline is funny and follows its own style as the design of the levels does. Your freedom world feels like something in between grotesque and hilarious which seems very unique to me.
There are minor other things that annoyed me, like the dwarves. They are pretty useless (though fun) because when they use their long range attack, they often kill themselves or units standing behind (!) them. You have to be VERY carefull when you use them to prevent them firing long range - but this is not possible according to the large number of units.
Some maps appear kind of flat because the grotesque design is sometimes destroyed by misarranged objects. But that might be a personal view. :;):
Level 2 does not work for me either on my pc but that seems to be a known problem.
To sum it up, i like Freedom II  Keep on working on it! I hope I can play it online soon!
rgds,

Glad you liked!
To be honest, I was never 100 percent on the dwarves. But I thought, if I was going to put them in, I might as well make 'em more dangerous, to keep people on edge and irritated.
I'm going to be the first to admit I'm no master mapmaker, so I'm not surprised to hear that they're too flat or whatever. I'm also not bothered, it's a balance between me not being too great at it, and not really caring enough about my lack of ability. It's something I could've worked on a few years ago - but I found it hard enough just finishing this.
Still peeved to hear Level 2 is crashing - Cid and I played that one thoroughly yesterday.
Too many units... again I really wanted to stick with just the heroes and maybe a couple guys here and there. I think the problem was is that I wanted to give my new cavalry guys a chance to shine. I did have team games in mind - even if there is no teams anymore!
Freedom storyline? That's all us dude, using pop-culture references left right and centre... if you wonder what Da Cid and I sound like when we talk, just play Freedom, all the jokes and peculiarities are in there.
Again, glad to hear someone likes it! Cheers

And look, anyone who plays Freedom 2 - this is going to sound stupid...
BUT LISTEN TO/READ THE BLOODY EPILOGUE! It's the end of the story. So just finishing the last level isn't finishing things - I know it's a pain, but as much as making a campaign, I was trying to tell a cute little story and I'd like it if y'all saw the ending.
Cheers!
