Myth has always been a resource hog. It's been my experience that myth will always use 100% of your system resources no matter how fast of a computer you install it on.

Myth's CPU usage behavior hasn't changed between 1.5.1 and my version (Yet). I will be looking into CPU usage reduction in the future.

Yeah, generally the idea is to give the best performance possible, which means taking all the resources the computer has to offer to be just that much more responsive. Perhaps a laptop-friendly option can be made to not drain the battery as much by sleeping more often.

Also, Melekor, I believe there were two ways for windows input code (the directinput checkbox in prefs), precisely because some systems had extreme input lag with one way or the other.

btw, i put 2 screenshots in your uploads folder on udogs from my D3D fucking up in multiplayer on native resolution, games worked except they looked a bit "odd" :)

ctrl-F12 didn't seem to work in them either

that was in multiplayers with other people, all other tests were solo
as soon as game ended/i quit game my screen turned back normal


i think it might have something to do with playing in D3D after oGL, will try that tomorrow...

Heh, I see that I forgot to take that gotfocus=1 message out :((((

And yes those screenshots do look pretty messed up. I think this one is going to be hard to track down, it is most likely related to some obscure detail that is specific to your hardware...

EDIT: BTW, Ctrl-F12 isn't supposed to work in D3D.

New build up: misc fixes, got rid of the gotfocus log message, added yet more D3D log messages, made myth remember your fullscreen/windowed mode state in the prefs file.

in the last beta, i see a interfaces... button.
Is it implemented yet ? And if so, where do I have to put my interfaces plugins to be able to change ?

I think it's one more great idea

Brainbug, I've uploaded a build which behaves a bit differently; it recreates the window every time you switch between renderers, and it never has both an opengl and d3d context open at the same time. Can you see if this version still causes the problem?

ok, switching between D3D and openGL works now
tried different resolutions in D3D online, worked as well

did i forget anything?

I love this little windowed version, I cant stand playing full screen anymore :)
