Re getting the units centered properly, which'd be necessary for Amber to line up the images when importing, I'd probably adopt a low tech method, like a piece of cardboard that sits on the bottom of the screen, is the screen's width and half the screen's height and has a center marked. The camera is moved to align the top edge with the unit's feet, and the unit is centered over the mark on the cardboard.

Hmmm, this idea about M3 units isn't such a bad one you know. I'm a little hesitant to start it because it'd take me a while to finish, during which time some other punk will probably get it done in half the time (and twice as good).

RIGHT THAT IS IT! I am announcing the William Wallet challenge. One of you, get started porting a M3 unit using the 'screenshot' method. The other one, use 3DSMax.
The first one to hand over a kickarse ported unit, I'll - I, um... I'll give you a Myth theme on guitar or something.

What Maeldun unit? TarousZars was just suggesting how to copy the Myth3 Avatara into a Myth2 collection. Unless he's hiding a unit from us! :O

Oh any screenshots on your Avatara unit? I think it would be useful to know all the Avatara-like units out there and place them in the same thread.

What Maeldun unit? TarousZars was just suggesting how to copy the Myth3 Avatara into a Myth2 collection. Unless he's hiding a unit from us! :O
Well his idea looks like it can work and that units that he made,the one with the screen shot spinning around, thats the one im looking for.

Well its going to take some time... at the rate I have been going maybe more than two weeks... hopefully in the weekend I can get a whole lot of it done. And besides... why the rush? Take the time to make your plugin better and more complete while I work on the Maeldun unit. It's not like the Myth community will be gone if we don't finish our projects any quicker.
