That's very harsh... no Amber for OS X... I hate booting into classic.
Also, Souly, I have many Macs. Windows sucks. Because Mac usually get popular games later, they have better bugfixes! Silly Microsoft Muahahahahhahahahhah!

HAHAH... that's the 2nd funniest thing I've seen today. "I hate booting into Classic"... quit your whining, if it's good enough for the rest of us it's good enough for you!

"Sooo... is it done yet?"

And there's no. 1 funniest thing. Pahaha.

But Mac OS 9 Classic is very poor. Sure Amber is not a game and that runs just fine, but Classic is a poor choice for gaming. Just like getting an Intel Mac Mini (with borrowed VRAM) for use with hardcore gaming!

When o when will this be made available? Industry are you still working on this? I don't want to have to buy a mac!

Oh, come on. I really have no idea. A couple threads earlier I was asking for advice on making unit sprites. I'm a pc user and if I don't have amber, how can I make collections? The picture that seems to be materialising is that pc users could not make units for myth ever since the game came out. Was every mod and total conversion featuring new sprites made on a mac?

basically ... yes. Though you could make the images on a PC and get some friendly Mac owner to Amber them into a collection for you.

"Oh, come on. I really have no idea."

You're taking too much from what I said. I was just laughing because if there's one constant in the universe, it's the futility of asking if a fan-made project is 'done yet'. :P

"but Classic is a poor choice for gaming."

Amber is not gaming. Amber is making collections for a game, and it runs just fine in Classic.

At the time of writing this, Industry was online: How is progress on Multi-Platform Amber?

Yeah, I'm still working on this. I actually ended up buying a Mac so I could mess around with Amber in person. Some things I couldn't figure out without tweaking in Amber looking for what changed in the hex dump of the tag, and that is a giant PITA.

Actually I've seen a bug appear in Amber under Classic that wasn't in evidence on OS9 or classic under earlier versions of OSX (I'm on 10.3.9). What happens is that when I add shadows to a sequence, the whole sequence blanks out & if I save the collection it ends up corrupted.

Not sure if anyone else had this problem or not, but for me it quickly ended my Ambering days.
