Try looking at some of the ones in there, I think clem's guide is in there too.

It's really great IMO.

k so I made a new projectile from the fireball, and gave it a longer lifespan. Now whenever I use a fireball shot from the deflection shield, it doesn't explode where you control click. It keeps going. It does this for both warlocks. Before, when you used the fireball from the deflection shield, it would detonate where you control click. So I want it to keep going for the new projectile I made, but I want the regular fireballs to detonate normally. Any suggestions?

You could do what was done in Mudpit Mega Mix's Warlock Frenzy map. The warlock had a normal fireball for primary and the special was a fireball without a lifespan with slower speed and gave more damage.
So normal fireball for primary and a lifespan-less fireball for special could do it.

Is this just lifespan related, or is it more deflection shield related? I ask because there are some odd things that happen with projectiles and the deflection shield. When a projectile is shot from within a deflection shield it tends to travel several times further than normal and at a much higher rate of speed. So even if your projectile lifespan was ok when shooting outside the deflection shield, the faster rate of travel means a projectile shot from inside the shield might travel 2x or 3x further than normal before it's lifespan ends.

yeah I can't figure out how to get it to detonate where I control click when using the deflection shield. It used to work, now it doesn't. That is the issue at hand. The projectile fireball is set for default, the lifespan is the same and everything

Changing the deflection shield might be the best way to give the fireballs a more reasonable range.

fixed the deflection shield, apparently the default fireball I was using didn't have the guided flag checked, even though it wasn't edited in any way!
Now I have a new issue: I extracted the thell warrior from the plugin hvergelmir, and he blocks projectiles with his special on that map. When I put him on my plugin, he no longer blocked projectiles with his special (he puts up his shield like he is blocking, but he still gets hit. Anyone know how I can replicate the block, or tell me why that special didn't transfer over?

Who's to say the special didn't transfer? From what I understand, the block special is specific to missile and not to artillery fire, such as cocktails and fireballs. I presume this can be changed but I wouldn't know to say where or how..

I say the special didn't transfer because when I hit thell warriors on my map with javelins, arrows, bre unor bones, etc. the special doesn't block any of them.

You didn't check the object tag of the blockable projectiles like arrows. In the plugin with these units the arrow's object tag effect modifier for electricity damage is 50.
