yes, that was my assumption as well. there were a couple of earlier posts which made me realize that's who it was, but the use of both "TWA" and "HD" to describe "The Wind Age" project sealed the deal. (hint: They aren't "HD" units, "HD" Has a very specific definition which doesn't apply to sprites in a videogame, they are High Rez (or HighER Resolution) Units). Calling M2 units "HD" is like calling a walkman an ipod. Same with "TWA", to anyone but the developers of "The Wind Age" (aka TWindA), "TWA" is first and foremost "Myth 3: The Wolf Age".

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. Myth 3 has allways been called "myth 3" or M3. I have never seen people call myth3 TWA before.
Case in point whenever people try to get a multiplayer game going, they allways say "Anybody want to play Myth3?" People also call carlinho's stuff HD as well.

Same with "TWA", to anyone but the developers of "The Wind Age" (aka TWindA), "TWA" is first and foremost "Myth 3: The Wolf Age".

well the only way that statement could be true is if you haven't been reading anyone else's posts other than your own over the past 10 years. then again that would explain a lot.

It is neither appropriate, accepted, or concise. "Myth 4" leaves no ambiguity as there is no other with such name, and Myth 3 is such a joke that to presume that the acronym TWA needs to be preserved for Myth 3's sake as if it were still relevant is silly.

please don't rebring up the 'issue' of whether you have rights to use the name "Myth 4".
ps. just so i don't get accused (again) of just being a 'hater', I REALLY REALLY like the look of the units in The Wind Age unit tagset, and I am still hoping there will be a related solo/coop campaign released which I can play.

if youll recall, i was never a proponent of that title - i was just pragmatic enough to realize any energy expenditure worrying about the name is both pathetic and pointless. the reception the original announcement thread got was about the most asinine, juvenile cesspit of pompous garbage i've had the mispleasure of reading.
edit: and i do recognize and appreciate that you judge content on its own merits, VR, i wouldnt accuse you of being petty in that sense

The wolf age has often been called TWA... even at e3 they called it twa
Twinda... works beyond measure to describe the wind age fiasco
and the only thing I ever want to hear called myth 4 better be on the shelf at my local retailer... anything short of that offends my senses and sensibilities.
thats my 7.99 to add to the 2cents....
Play myth and have fun... then play it some more.
finish twinda and lets have some fun...
ps...maybe confusion and discourse could of been avoided by calling the tagset/plugin The Breeze Age TBA....

i am not magma, nor do i speak for them in any way shape or form, but as a programmer i can state pretty emphatically that it would be pretty silly to pretend that any ETA given for an unstarted project of indeterminate size and complexity would be in any way be either meaningful or accurate.
