How do you put units from other plugins into a plugin that you make?

You'll need a program called Topaz in order to extract the units from the plugin you wish to use. You can get Topaz from the below URL. Once you have this, use it to open the plugin whose units you wish to use for your own mod. Then, extract the unit to the proper folder within your Local folder in the Myth 2 directory. Once thats done, start fear up and check to see if the new unit appears under the "units" folder. If it does, use Loathing's unit placer to add the new unit to your own mesh. Hope this helps ya.

Not quite that easy, but I'm glad once you learn Than, you pass it on! :D Here's the full deal for all you guys breaking into the mapping scene....If you're on mac you use an app called Tag Extracter, if you're on Winblows (parden the expression...but it's fact :P ) you need as Than said, Topaz. From here to extract your unit (without crashing of course) you need a series of tags. You will need to extract a collection, collection reference, monster tag, projectile group, projectiles (all relating to that unit...should be relatively clear to find), object, and unit. Drop all of these into their respective folders inside your local and you should be good to go. If you dont have all the proper tags (if you forgot a projectile or something) myth will crash to the splash screen on startup of your map. If you exit and read your myth_log.txt you should be able to figure out the file relatively easily. It usually tells you the TYPE of tag along with its signature (aka header)....that little annoying 4 digit code that labels the tag as THAT tag. Dig through your tags you were extracting from and you'll find it eventually :) Good luck!

Don't forget the String Lists tags.

Also if the unit has a lightning attack, you may need a Lightning Tag.

You'll also need all the tags associated with any items or artifacts the unit may use. I'm speaking of things like satchel charges and mandrake roots. Some unit makers create new versions of these types of things as well.
