Is it possible to script a non-player controlled unit to switch items in its inventory?
Inventory switching is an awesome feature, by the way. Kudos to whoever made that happen.

I know its possible to change Inventory via Script for player controlled. So I assume it is the same for NPC's.
Its a Unit Control.
Switch Verins Inventory to 0 [Unit Control]
deactivates_on_trigger
0.00, 0.00
{
Switch Artifact
null
Monsters
10143 (000Aes_Sedai Verin)
}
This switches it to 0. Otherwise, you give it the 4 letter code for that arti.

Sorry, but I'm actually going to need a bit of clarification. You said to use the "Switch Artifact" parameter, which I don't see in the Unit Control action. I tried "Give Monster Artifact or Projectile," but that requires me to select something on the map. I tried changing the parameter to "null, object_identifier" but that didn't work either. What am I doing wrong? I'm using Loathing 1.5.1.

In my Loathing 1.5.1 "Switch Artifact" is right below "Give Monster Artifact or Projectile,"

Really? Are you on a Mac? In my Loathing, it goes straight from "Give Artifact or Projectile" to "Ammunition."
If it's a Mac-only feature, would someone from Magma mind explaining why it isn't available for PC?

I'm on a PC. You sure you have latest 1.5.1?

I'm using the version of 1.5.1 that is available in the downloads section on this site. If there's anything newer than that, I don't see it. I even redownloaded to make sure, and I'm still not seeing that parameter. I don't see the "Add Ammunition" parameter that's on your screenshot either.

Weird. Guess we need some input from magma people on the discrepancy.

I am on PC aswell and I see it.
You are doing a "unit control", right A-Red?

Yes. I promise, I know what a Unit Control action is.
You're sure there's no newer build than the one on this site?

Problem isn't solved, but I think I've identified the source. The Loathing executable that was installed on my computer when I installed 1.5.1 is called "Loathing 1.5.1," but when I check its properties, it turns out to be file version "1.5.0.1." It seems that the new installer is putting the wrong thing on my computer.
Likely, the reason you guys have the newer version is that you were beta testing the updated Loathing before it was released publicly (which I did not).
Magma guys, is there any chance you could fix that soon?

For some reason it's the same issue as A-Red for my Loathing but I'm using the Mac OS X version :/

I just tried to reinstall 1.5.1 and it installed fear 1.5.1 without a problem on PC. Have you tried deleting any old Fear icons and just install Fear 1.5.1 without the MythII from the installer? I assume its not a shortcut problem if youv looked at the properties...do you have multiple folders for MythII?
The fear that is in the current 1.5.1 download is Fear1.5.1...at least for the PC it is otherwise I wouldnt have it.

Yes, it installs Fear just fine. I have no problem with Fear. It just installs the wrong version of Loathing.
I only have 1 Myth II folder.
