Mac.. fear ... when importing pregames theres a sequence called johnathan loves lauren.... it crashes if opened ... is this a needed sequence... or some egg left by a smitten programer... I mean if they are not still together maybe it can be removed
actually would be helpfull import of pregames and overhead feature worked a bit better I always have to go into amber and edit color table etc...

I use Jade to import new overhead maps and net pictures. I'm on PC though... I don't know if Jade has a Mac equal or if it works for both.

Amber works well for importing pregame images in OS 9, but I am pretty sure I didn't edit color tables in Amber.
Think what I did was create a blank tag file that has just a pre-game template in it then I just open that, replace the pregame-game template image with my new pregame and then save it as the new pregame name.
I've never used Amber for overheads, I just save them indexed 240 and import them into Fear. Only problems I've had are the usual ones around transparency or black specks when I forget to do things right.
