This could be useless to you, but if you're after the music you'd best try and find the soundtrack (Legally of course! Look at me, I'm legal man, I buy everything I own!).
The AIFFs in Myth are only what, 22khz and they don't really do that sampled music any justice.
Especially go after the TFL music anyway, it's usually better.

Mr. Wallet has the right idea. If you want just the music, go after the soundtrack. Wait a tick...what's this?
If you want to extract sounds, use SoundBlighter (yes, it's available for both Mac and Windows).

You can convert sound/music files using ITunes, which is available free for mac or pc. Go to Edit>Playback. Then click on advanced tab. Then click on Importing tab. Then under Importing in the "Import Using" bar, select which file format you want to convert to. If you are wanting to make sounds usable by Fear convert them to mono 22K. Use .wav for pc, or aiff for mac(I think). Then after adjusting these settings load your original file into ITunes and then right click on it and select "Convert Selection to <whatever>".

I have all the Myth II narrations as mp3's that I extracted a while ago.
You can grab them from the Myth Addict Website

I used Soundblighter to get aiff's out of myth. I then used iTunes to tag the files, and convert them to mp3.

Not that anyone would need to since there's a tool that does it for you, but a real low-tech solution suggested by 'Brent' a long time ago is to get a stereo double-sided sound cable (1/8" stereo mini phono plug on each end), and hook one side up to your computer's microphone port (sound in) and the other side to the headset port (sound out).
Turn on a recording program, and press record. Then go to Fear and make the computer play the sounds you want.
Go back to SoundEdit and stop the recording.
You have the sound you want, in near original perfect quality.
You can now save it to whatever format you want. Note: Make sure your computer's volume isn't up to high when you record, otherwise it'll get distorted.
[Might be worth making sure you don't have your sound output set to play whatever's coming through the mic or you will get massive feedback when you start recording]

Again, unecessary as there's already a way of doing this...
But I strongly recommend WireTap to anyone who wants to record sounds of any kind in OSX.
SnapzPro, I don't recommend so well. Ever since I installed 10.4, I can't use F13 (or ANY hotkey) to take screenshots.

Can't you just use the command-shift-3 combo or use the 'Grab' app (tho the time delay makes it not so good for action screen shots) - I have OS X.2.4 (i think) and the command-shift-3 screen capture still works fine.

What can I use to convert aiffs to wavs? I tried Audacity, but it didn't work properly with the .aif output from Soundblighter. I assume Bungie used advanced aiff features.
