Hi,
Have just upgraded my mac from OS X 10.3.2 to 10.3.4.
This was a dumb thing to do, as Myth II v1.4.4 now just quits after opening a saved game....
So I upgraded to 1.5fc1 (installed 1.5b2 first). When I try to open saved games from 1.4.4 I get a red flashing messages "Out of Sync", and I appear to have lost more than half of my characters?!?
Don't tell me I have to start again at the beginning, with version 1.5...
:O

New versions of the game are rarely compatible with saved games from older versions, unfortunately. A workaround is that you can start on any level by holding down Option and Shift when clicking the New Game button.

So does that mean I have lost all my carefully trained (and experienced) archers/drawves etc? I would guess so...
I assume that there isn't another workaround/patch to get 1.4.4 going again on OS X 10.3.4?

unfortunately not. in 10.3.3 apple introduced a change to opengl that causes myth to crash. you can run 1.4.x in software mode and it should not crash (that way you can continue with your veteran units). but personally i recommend moving up to 1.5 at some stage in the near future (although the sooner the better in case you have any problems with it you can report and that we can address before we release the final).

Hmm.... painful, but I guess I can start again at the beginning.
However, what happens when 1.5 is released?
Is the file format like to change from 1.5fc1 to the final release?

Yes 1.5fc1 films/games will go OOS in 1.5.0

OOS = Out of Sync? [My guess]
Not again...
When is 1.50 being released? Looks like I should wait until then!
