Hey everyone, well, I really want to play this game, I put the 1.3 patch on. I still got that "not enough memory". I read that you must use the 1.5 beta one under "projects" i downloaded it. installed it.. now it just says.
"The Myth TFL beta has expired."
thanks in advance everyone.

While it is true that you can download the new version (when it finally comes out) of TFL, you can also try this in the interim:

TFLpatch v1.0 by Capital last modified 08/18/2004
Tired of seeing following error message when you try to play Myth TFL?
"Myth does not have enough free memory or swap space to launch. Try closing any other applications you have open or freeing up of hard drive space and trying again."
Well, TFLpatch will fix this issue.
What is TFL patch?
TFLpatch allows users with one gigabyte of RAM to now play Myth TFL v1.3 without getting the above mentioned error message.
Who should use TFLpatch?
Users who have one gigabyte of RAM installed should use this program.
Note: Users with less than one gigabyte of RAM may benefit from using TFLpatch depending upon whether they receive the error message described above.
How do I use TFLpatch?
Using TFLpatch is easy. Just place the file called “TFLpatch.exe†in the main Myth TFL folder (e.g. the folder that contains the Myth TFL game).
Now double click the TFLpatch, which will automatically launch Myth TFL.
Every time you wish to play Myth TFL, you will need to launch the game using TFLpatch, so you might find it helpful to make a shortcut to TFLpatch on your desktop, or Start Menu Program group.

The author of TFLpatch has tested this program on three systems that have one gigabyte of RAM, each computer successfully launched Myth TFL using TFLpatch. There is one reported case in which a system with 1.5 gigabytes of RAM, where Myth TFL was not successfully launched.

What you are doing wrong, is using patch 1.3
You SHOULD update to 1.3, but don't stop there, go ahead and update to the latest TFL 1.5 beta patch.

Note the current 1.5 patch is expired and a new beta of 1.5 will be available by the weekend. So sit tight while we get things finished up here.

Ok Public Beta #2 of TFL 1.5 is up on the Project's page. The main addition is a longer expiration date and OpenGL for Windows. Also I built it with newer 3dfx libraries to see if that helps folks still using 3dfx cards.
Note: OpenGL under Windows may not work on all systems, it is meant to give Windows folks a possible hardware renderer. But as the Myth II version doesn't work on all computers I don't expect the TFL will work on all systems either.
When reporting OpenGL issues please note if Myth II in OpenGL works on your system also.

Can I have the exact URL please?
And I only have Myth_TFL not Myth II or Myth III! The city where I live in, (sunny South Africa ) didn't sell the second or third! LOL, anyways, how can I get it to work? It keeps just saying, the beta has expired.
Thanx alot

Im not sure what im doing wrong... I have downloaded that file. this is what i did:
1.) Fresh Installation on Full
2.) I put on the patch and I get "The Myth TFL Beta has expired."
And I'm stuck there.
I also tried:
1.) Fresh Installation on Full
2.) 1.3 Patch on
3.) I used Capital's TFLPatch and it gave me the memory error.
IF I use TFLPatch on 1.5 it says "Myth TFL Beta has expired."
Any Ideas? I really wish I could play this game again!

Ok do not use TFL patch on 1.5. 1.5 is fine as is. 1.5 needs to be installed on top of 1.3. Try downloading the 1.5 beta again, I just updated it yesterday with the current version.
