These updates fix a lag issue in OpenGL on Macs and in Direct3D on Windows machines. If you have lag install these, otherwise just keep using what you have.
Edit: Now 1.5.1c which fixes Wanklist problems and certain healing issues when having presets. Along with further refinement of the Direct3D lag issue.
1.5.1c works with both 1.5.1 and 1.5.1b versions without any issues.

The above links are Build 260. And the full blown installers have been updated to Build 260 has Myrd noted above.
Actually the Direct3D lag issue had been in since Build 252 and the OpenGL had been in since the very first build of 1.5.1 made almost a year ago.

I just dled 1.5.1c (just got my brand spanking new cpu), and all the 1.5.1 games are showing up red for me. I don't think the first build of 1.5.1 is compatable with the 1.5.1c build.

Guys, I think the same thing is happening to me too
Edit: Ok, I'm not sure what's going on. I tried 1.5.1, 1.5.1b & 1.5.1c and I'm still seeing game data does not match. I would've thought this'd be because I'd installed some plug wrongly, but I was seeing white games before.

Please post your Myth_log.txt file here. Also check to make sure the mariusnet plugin didn't get installed in your plugins folder or you have more then 1 playmyth interface plugin installed? I'm guessing you are trying this on playmyth.
Also if you find your problem post here what it was and which installer you used so we can improve/fix the installers.

Ok, silly me. I removed PMI_Classic, PlayMyth v1.2.1 and Patch Mariusnet, and it shows white games now. Anyway, does the installer remove / backup depreciated plugins? I had the installer install to a separate folder, then I moved the files to their correct places.
Is Patch 1.4 Interface depreciated now? I've got Patch 1.5 Unity in, but it doesn't show in the myth_log.txt. When I remove Patch 1.4 Interface, it complains about missing plugins & won't launch. But the 1.5.1 installer (11.7 MB [12,368,763 bytes], Windows) didn't unpack a Patch 1.4 Interface, I had it from http://mirror.busybsoftware.com/Myth2_151_Interface.zip

Not installing Patch 1.4 Interface if it didn't already exist was a bug in the original installer that has since been fixed.

I'd say Patch MariusNet is Garrick's problem too.
Patch 1.5 Unity only loads with vTFL games, hence it doesn't show in the pre-loading list with the other patches.

Some people on PM.net were having the red-game problem, I think it'd be a good idea to have a note on the 1.5.1 story on the website about removing the ancient plugins.

i have win xp sp2 with a geforce 5200 and 512 RAM, i have never been able to play in this machine since i bought the total codex.
the screen flickers, the resolution changes and i get a black screen until i force quit the app.
what is weird is that i can start fear and loathing with no problems at all.

Try alt-tabbing out and back in when you get the black screen.

i cant, after the black screen it just quits to the desktop, tried reintalling and reupdating, and no luck

seems strange how its hanging when searching for 3DFX devices. Hmm.
