Ok, I downloaded your patch to fix the annoying "Not enough memory" problem. Great work on that patch. The only issue i have had so far is that when you are loading a level and the guy is talking he sounds like one of the chipmunks. Any Ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated as the narrative was one of my favorite parts of the game.
Thank You

I recorded the chipmunk sound and it came out rather well. But I can't find any way to include a file in the post, so much for that. Anyone with ideas about the wierd sound issue?

I'm not sure how to post a sound here. Does it happen on all narrations? Bungie levels as well as plugins? Are the in-game sounds ok or are they chipmunk'd as well?

I know that back in the 1.3 days, PCs would do that with narrations that used a mono audio file instead of stereo, however that problem was fixed for 1.4 (ie a long time ago) and I've not heard of it occurring since then.

Are you using the 1.5 update for TFL or the hack to make 1.3 work?

Its the 1.3 operating through Myth 2.

The only thing that is messed up is the narrative between levels in the normal TFL game, Soulblighter works fine. In game speech is normal.

ok I might be missing something...but exactly what patch did you install. We don't support any of the hack patches to make the old Bungie 1.3 apps run. We fixed the memory bug and a few hundred other ones in our latest updates to Myth. You can get the updates at http://myth.busybsoftware.com.

I downloaded the myth 2 thefallenlevels that patched the soundfile.gor thingy then moved the cutscene and soundfile.gor files over to the myth 2 plugins file.

Hey thanks for that link to the 1.5 patch. Using that I was able to reinstall the normal game of Myth The Fallen Lords and then patch it. It now works and I don't need to use Myth 2 to play it. Plus that fixed the sound issue. Sorry I wasn't able to put up a file for you guys amusement but the problem is now solved.
