So when I decided to reinstall Myth II and play I noticed that the camera was worse than usual. It was always choppy for a long time but now its terrible. I think i've posted here before about it a long time ago.

Anyway, when I started up fraps it said my fps was locked at 21, and things started making sense but the mouse wasnt jerky like you would expect with low fps. The Myth II fps counter said it was in the 300s which is to be expected with my machine but it doesnt go with the terrible jerkiness i'm seeing.

I've tried changing my compatibility mode to every option and all it does it change the type of screen choppiness. Ive tried every renderer and even tried a few glide wrappers which crash Myth II. I just reformatted since I like to every year and it's still bad. Any ideas?

Does it happen with all resolutions? (even 640x480?) Do other games run fine? What's your video card? If you say its choppy even at software, perhaps you don't have the right drivers for your video card / chipset installed, which (in my experience) can make the connection between the PC and the monitor itself run at incredibly horrible refresh rates.

I'm guessing you haven't installed Myth in a long time. Have you tried updating Myth? There is patch for v1.5.1. If that doesn't fix it... try the beta patch for v1.5.2 both found in here.

People who have had problems don't have them after the update.

Video card is a geforce 6800 ultra, drivers arent updated now since I reformatted but it makes no difference.

I played Myth II like a month ago and everything was fine but now its terrible before and after the reformat. I have no idea what would have changed that.

Tried ever res too.

What's in the beta patch?

Which patch did you try? 1.5.1? or the beta 1.5.2 (which needs 1.5.1 first)?

Would you please see whether there is anything odd in your Myth_log.txt ?

I had same thing on other nVidia card. Its drivers problem. Try installing drivers from other series.

Do you remember a series that worked for you?

Try the 1.5.2 beta from http://myth.busybsoftware.com. There where some fixes in it for NVidia cards. 1.5.2 is fully compatabile with 1.5.1 so you can play online with the 1.5.1 crowd without a problem.

I am using nVidia card from 5xxx series and nvida detonators 56.72 work great for me. Dunno if they will be good for better cards from 6xxx series.

I have heard that nVidia detonators 66.93 are also very good.

Tried the 66.93 drivers, nothing changed.

Nothing unusual there either. I have no idea

Is it laggy when you play a solo game or replay a film? If so then its a graphics card kind of problem, but if not then we're looking at a network thing.

It's laggy offline too. This is a Myth thing because every other game I have works fine.
