It's been so long I've forgotten...

I know Myth isn't free. You gotta buy it. But given that registration's been disabled and you can run M2 without the CD now, is it possible to run the app just by d/ling it, shovelling in a plugin or two and playing?

What's the bare minimum set of files needed to run Myth?

All the tags found in a normal myth tags folder, All the appropriate patches in the plugins folder (I dunno which these are, but just look), metaservers as needed, and the App. Thats all I need on my mac anyway (I think). THis is just so you can have a minimum back up install of myth at hand right oro!

Nope, nor does it have anything to do with piracy. Basically it's to do with sorting out which goddamn plugs/mods/upgrades/tags I can get rid of. I have a folder with 15 metric shitloads of stuff. I'm trying to figure out which is less work: Buying a new copy of Myth (CD is scratched) or moving crap from individual folders, restarting, seeing if stuff works, and risking a meltdown.

Myth can't run without the foundation tags from the CD because plugins are not self-contained. They require some stuff that is found only in the foundation tags to be present.

Whats wrong with tons of crap?! You know you love it. Plus, you are probably gonna play it all again at some point!
